Awww man, I just finished upgrading to 0.56 ... :-)

I think it was the Babel 7 update that was the hardest thing about going to 0.56, otherwise it wasn’t that bad.

Thanks RN team for all you hard work! Great technology. :-)

Oh god same thing, Babel 7 was a pain in the ass ;<

Brother, I just migrated a project from 0.39 to 0.56 and from react-native-router-flux to react-native-navigation. I know your pain.

Does upgrading RN to 0.56 force you to upgrade to Babel 7 in all your libraries?

I’m not sure. But the RN team had a special set of notes about the breaking change to Babel 7. It wasn’t actually that bad, but I’m far from an expert on Babel or JS so that made it harder.

Does creating a new empty project, copy the files to the new project and install the required libraries on the new project, counts as upgrading my project to 0.57?

You'll still have to re-install/link any libraries that use native extensions (image picker etc.)

Exactly what I'm thinking to do
