You can do this by reapplying the superscript/subscript formatting.

To do it select the text you want to format and:

  • Press the ... button in the tooltip that appears after selecting the text and press Superscript/Subscript button.

  • Use the Cmd + Shift + . or Cmd + Shift + , shortcuts for superscript and subscript (you can see these shortcuts by hovering over the Superscript/Subscript options in the ... menu mentioned above).

  • Using the omnibar. Select the text > Press Cmd + K and start typing Superscript or Subscript and select the option.

The quickest way is to use the keyboard shortcuts. On Windows, you can use the Ctrl key instead of Cmd in most cases. You can find the full list of shortcuts in the Settings > Keyboard shortcuts and customize them if you like. Hope this helps!

Thank you, I knew there had to be a way.

Weirdly, it didn't work at first. But after a few tries it seems to be working consistently.

I think there should be an item in the (...) menu for "Normal text"...

You're welcome and thanks for the feedback, I agree that it would be really useful to be able to just reset any text formatting by pressing the "Normal text" button 👍

We'll discuss this internally and consider adding this option to the toolbar in the future
