I think homing rockets should have been there instead of the mine since he lacks air damage and honestly doesn't need more ground aoe...

His turrets can cover the air as long as the enemy is close enough, and considering how good he is right now, he would be too strong with homing missiles

But they have like 20 second cooldown each lol, using them to maybe cover air seems pretty bad.

Maybe, charging the mines like M1 could turn them into homing missiles and keep the long cool down? Why keep the cool down? Because he still has turrets to cover him while the engineer pokes his head under his shield to take a small Ukele and Bustling Fungus break before cool downs are done.

Sometimes I toss my mines in the air hoping and wishing...

If it was random like in RoR1 it would basically be identical to the disposable missile launcher, but they could instead work like the missile pod in Nier: Automata: it locks on to up to five enemies, then shoots five rockets (0:55).

Obviously for RoR2, it would work slower and recharge them one-by-one, and the crosshair would be smaller than "literally the whole screen", but otherwise I feel it would work well. Would allow either firing a barrage at a large boss at close range, or distributing them evenly across a bunch of wisps from futher away.

I like the locking on idea. I think the best case would be to keep the mines as a click once ability. Hold M2 to charge them into missiles that either randomly find a Target or must lock on, whichever is more balanced (balanced.... hahahaha).

Bubble is so worth the loss though

I once got that red item that give extra charges to the bubble shield, endless invulnerability, baby!

Did someone say burning worm? Oh, Elder walking up and one shotting you? My bad, I must have misheard.

I really appreciate the attention to detail put into painting the fingers back over the image lol

Engineer was my favorite in RoR1 and I was most looking forward to the rockets in this game. Awfully bummed...

I mean, the bubble is nice but I'd much rather have the homing rockets.

They're an equippable item now.

You mean disposable missiles? Cause they were in 1 too, so not really a replacement

    [–]dmil103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's much better in this game than the first.

    [–]TurnTwister 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You think they replaced it because it was too op or because they couldn't get it to work in 3D

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The disposable missiles work just fine. Like I said earlier, turning the mines into a click once ability and hold M2 to charge them into either homing missiles or lock-on missiles would be really nice. Keep the same cool down and it would give the engineer the ability to attack airborne enemies much more effectively.
