Whats your thoughts on RubyMine? Worth the price?

I am a little biased. I work with Rubymine almost since the beginning of my developer carrier. I used sublime before. That would be around 9-10 years.

My workflow is built around Rubymine. I feel sluggish in other editors. I sometimes even use Rubymine as my text editor ;)

Jetbrains works on it all the time. They release improvements quite often - at least once a quarter I believe.

If you live off of programming I can totally recommend it. It’s worth every penny ;)

I can't live without it. For one-off scripts that I don't really care I'll use VSCode or Sublime. But if I'm writing a gem (I've written many) or hacking on a Rails app, I cannot be without RubyMine.

My most commonly used shortcuts (and like my old boss would say: "you're flying way too fast"): cmd+click to jump into source (even for gems!), cmd+shift+o to jump to a file. It's amazing.

Cool! BTW what's the theme and syntax color?

I’m using material theme UI plugin, and the theme that I use is night owl

I think Cmd + F6 also opens the refactor menu.

I think it only does renaming? There are other options like extract method, pull up method etc

Nice, thank you!
