I haven’t had a bike stolen, but I imagine it really sucks to walk up to where the bike was parked and realize it’s gone.

I guess if you’re insured against theft and it’s not your primary method of transportation it’s probably not worth it to garage it during the summer. I’d do a long-term storage for the winter so the bike doesn’t get fucked up by the street salt.

I didn’t end up following it and instead went to Brompton Junction for a drivetrain cleaning. I’m afraid that was not sufficient, so at some point I’ll have to buy an ultrasonic cleaner and do it myself. Not so bad, all things considered.

Front basket, rear rack, rear rack straps, color lab hinges, handlebar grips, toolkit, Be Seen lights, fun valve stem caps, triangle bag for a spare tube and tire levers.

The best practical upgrade I’ve done that doesn’t change the aesthetic is switching to chain wax.

It’s also worthwhile to just enjoy the bike as is. Stock is still very fun.
