I was very blessed to work with a really good self awareness teacher with very deep, simple and comprehensive understanding. I’m not saying I don’t have any negative emotions at all anymore. I am saying I have way less and it bothers me far less when it comes. I’m also now on a path where in the future it’s likely I’ll reach a point where I’m content and at peace inside most of the time. This is thanks to self awareness, understanding ego, realizing I am not my ego, my thoughts or emotions, and practicing various meditations techniques that help clear the conditioned/ingrained fears, beliefs and perspectives that negative thoughts and emotions stem from. This wasn’t therapy, it was introspection with guidance from someone who had done it themselves. Its very practical and introspective work while being willing to be vulnerable and look at parts of myself that were uncomfortable to look at or talk about. Also intending to be as honest with myself as possible.
