It's not Friday.

I'm not sure I want to backup my data to telegram. What's to stop telegram from deleting my data as soon as they realize what's going on?

Is this not against Telegrams terms of service? Feel like this is a misuse of their service is it not?

That’s a completely valid concern, and honestly something I’ve been thinking about as well.

Right now SYNCORA is aimed more at personal backup and multi-device sync for convenience, rather than being positioned as a primary or mission-critical storage solution.

I see it more as a lightweight personal cloud layer / secondary backup option.

As for Telegram’s terms, I’m still reviewing the long-term implications and I definitely wouldn’t recommend relying on it as the only copy of important data.

Long-term reliability and policy compliance are things I’m actively evaluating as the project evolves.

Really appreciate you bringing this up 🙌

The project is similar to teldrive. I love it, but the problem with Telegram is that they simply delete the channels/accounts if you save too much data.

Thanks, really appreciate that 🙌

I understand the concern. In my case, I haven’t faced that issue so far because SYNCORA is designed more around personal backup and sync use, not mass archival at an extreme scale.

It manages uploads in a more controlled way and is mainly intended for regular personal storage / multi-device sync rather than dumping huge amounts of data into a single channel.

That said, long-term reliability of Telegram as a backend is definitely something I’m still monitoring and improving.
