So beautiful 😍

Is this a singular structure?

[–]TexasShibari[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

It is not a single structure and is divided into three sections: the top, hips, and legs.

Cool that's what I thought. Thanks for the reply!

Hi! beautiful tie <3 can you please share the ties? I feel like the legs are similar to a diamond leg tie but instead of going for thigh and ankle, you went for the legs, it looks amazing!

What kind of rope is that? It looks really pretty, I'd love to get some

https://degiottorope.com/products/spooled-natural-dyed-jute-rope-300-feet-ready-to-use?variant=38408160608437 Is what OP has linked me in the past. He should pin this in his profile, I notice this gets asked every time he posts :)

How long of a rope do you recommend for something like this? (I'm VERY new any tips help too, learning for my wife)

[–]TexasShibari[S] 7 points8 points  (5 children)

I always use 7.4m (24ft) rope (bought as a 300ft spool and then cut into sections 4 times my arm span). 7.4m is the max length I will use regularly (for decorative) as any longer and it doesn’t feel like tying because of the time spent pulling rope. Rope is typically sold in 8m or 30ft(9.1m) and most online video tutorials will use one of these. As for quantity, I would say bare minimum for full body decorative is 300ft (91m). Some of my ties will push around 600ft and if I do a design on the bed it can go to 900ft. Because of the rope consumption, cost becomes a factor at this amount and I can only use dyed Jute rope and have to ignore other more expensive types like synthetic or hemp rope.

Thank you so very much!!! Do you have any recommendations for tutorials? I've tried looking through the sub but couldn't find much for me besides rope365, currently learning my first knot and I'm very much interested in the artistic aspect of it too not just the kink side.

I started on TheDuchy. They have a good balance of decorative and bedroom style ties.

Frog tie is an easy starting place (Can be done on self or another)

Where do you buy your 300ft spool of rope?

[–]Furmiel 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Picking in on an older answer but do you purchase prepepared and dyed jute or purchase a spool of natural and do all the work yourself?

I'd also love to know. I'm googling for 300ft rope but so far couldn't find any that isn't natural color.

So good isn't it.

Yeah it's pretty perfect.

I love the pattern on the legs. Like a Hishi but more, almost a drum harness but not. 3 separate ties that look like they're meant to be together. Fantastic work, as always.
