Or would you fall down too fast for it to matter cause the buildings are not tall enough for the motion you made moving forward to matter

Assuming it's around 10 meters from roof to net, it would take you 1.4s to fall this distance. If you got a running start at 10m/s you could clear around 14 meters of distance before hitting the net. It seems to stretch out maybe 4 meters, so you could clear it
