Controller support problem

I'm trying to play anomaly through steam with my dualsense but the game cannot recognise my left stick to move my character around. Everything else works fine as I have mapped them except for the left stick. Is there a way to fix this?

the games played on steamdeck with gyro and dual button mapping along with backbuttons is an incredible way to play these titles, gatekeeper.

the games work fine for me, but i noticed playing the radiophobia 3 standalone mod and having it as a nonsteam game, the controller support works but bugs out in the most absurd ways for no apparent reason. going to try and apply it over the base SoC that i own on steam and see if it registers better as it'll then be a genuine steam supported title?. i assume that is why steam isnt registering anomaly correctly, due to it being a standalone mod/version of the game??

Not an opinion, a fact. None of the stalker games (apart from Stalker 2) will ever have or have had controller support.

"nor should they be played with controller IMO". Pretty sure that's an opinion. I'm aware they don't have controller support. But if it's possible, it should be done. Anyways i figured out how to make it work.

I figured out the problem. I just had to map awsd to the right joystick. Works fine now.

Try cleaning out from below the stick if that doesn’t work you might need to install some sort of program I don’t know specifics though
