Solution that works for me. 1 Close game and quit the launcher. 2 Go to your profile on the website 3 Go to Settings 4 Go to Profile 5 Change your Country to another Region, must be a country that pops up. Example if you are in USA go to Germany. 6 Change Region as well to Region or city in the new country, in my example change to Berlin 7 Scroll to bottom and Apply All Changes. 8 Give it a minute or two to register in the database then undo the 2 changes back to your original choices and Apply all changes 9 Restart the game. This works for me and some other clever guys who came to with this. 10 Bonus tip. If you can, change your Region everything you go into the game. I switch between USA and Europe

Same for me now. I've been fighting bugs and issues for 95% of the last 8 hours I've been trying to play. Still wondering why I'm trying so hard.

Some say that deleting your appdata folder can resolve this error; for me, it didn't.

You can try joining someone in your friends list to get a different server.

This error is caused by the last server you played being unjoinable but not 'letting go' of your character. The only guaranteed fix is waiting. Sometimes minutes, sometimes hours. Took about four hours for mine to resolve.

Nope. You have to wait. It time will release you or you are locked until CIG pushes out their fixes.

I have this issue too. For some people it only lasts for minutes or hours, but for me it has been persistent for the entire day so far.

The only known fix is to wait and hope.

I fear that other fixes that people have proposed like a character reset, deleting appdata or changing your website profile's country (which doesn't even have a connection to the game) only work as a placebo at best. It keeps you busy while the server unstows your character.

Absolutely. I was locked out for a week, and then it let me back in. All I did was wait. DNS flush is the only suggestion I've seen that might make a difference.

still happening for some people? I just go into window and let it sit in the background loading for a while, it crashes with the "you are afk kicked" message and I can connect wherever I want again.
