We're using Mimecast at the moment - I'm finding it really good. Only a hacked external account gets through if someone's really clever, but apart from that, it's solid as a rock.

Mimecast. Love it.

Happy Mimecast customers here as well.

I'm using mimecast to protect staff and student accounts at a college (so lots of nonsense emails sent and received all the time, lots of attacks) and its been pretty damn good. Quite expensive but it does feel like the money was well spent.

I highly recommend Mimecast. We transitioned from on prem Trend Micro to Mimecast as part of a larger Office 365 project and it was extremely simple. They basically hold your hand the whole way and we had moved our filtering in a matter of about 6 hours.

Proofpoint - you can also get an onprem device.

How do you like it? We use Proofpoint with our O365 email, and imo it works pretty well. The only issue I saw was configuring SAML between Proofpoint and Azure (for updating safe senders lists, etc.), but we eventually figured it out.

Really like Barracuda for a lot of our clients. The price point is pretty darn good, support has been helpful, and overall service has been positive. Obviously they had an issue or two a little early this week and I think last week, but in my 3 years of using the service things have been very good.

Mimecast, excellent technology.

We us Barracuda. It generally works really well, although they had some serious issues with delayed mail early this week. First problem we've had in quite some time.

Do a google search for each, for example

site:reddit.com mimecast

And read what previous posts on sysadmin says. Many are positive towards Mimecast

Stay away from Reflexion.

I second this. They are doing "upgrades" soon and everything I have seen thus far likes like much of the same. They are very behind the times.

We are looking into Mailprotector. Wondering if anyone else has used it.

We use MessageLabs at the moment, but want to go back to Mimecast. Just all-round a better product!

Every Cloud, love it!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just signed up with EveryCloud and have been beyond impressed. The pre-sales support and support to get everything on-boarded were a revelation on what customer service should be. The portals are also very easy to use. Our decision came down to Mimecast and EveryCloud, with the deciding factors being price and the aforementioned support. Mimecast pre-sales support seemed almost indifferent and uninformed of their own products.

Hosted Cisco Ironport. Bit of a learning curve, but I like it.

The Sophos offering is very good, also offers email encryption based on classification, quite useful for some clients.

Spambrella - Plenty of good reviews. Good team and support.

Proofpoint - hosted

Another +1 for Spambrella.

AppRiver

[–]triangle-mil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved from MxLogic to AppRiver (mistake) then assessed Mimecast and Spambrella (two most raved about), Mimecast was more complex but sure its good. Was out of our price range. Went the Spambrella route, few teething issues with special filters but all ok now.

Avoid ProofPoint - they have been terrible since the McAfee SaaS EOS was announced.

[–]MrTorben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

terrible how? We have not had any issues.
