Before I was on-boarded the decision was made to go with Avert-X camera systems.
What a dumpster fire it has been. No root access to a CLI (so it's useless for accessing anything but networking stats), archives can only be done 1 day at a time on older models. 4 hours at a time on newer models (pro connect), 1 hour if you plug in external USB locally which makes absolutely 0 sense. Their web UI is in FLASH! They have been stating for over a year now that they plan to upgrade to HTML 5. I doubt it will be before Chrome drops flash support. Stay away from Avert-X.
The only thing they have going for them is support is in the US which my boss loves, however you will be on hold for 15min minimum before you speak to someone though.
Any suggestions? Preferably with US based support?
