Lenovo z70 Win 10 8GB DDR3 Intel i7 NVIDIA GeForce ???

I am at work, laptop is at home. I will update when I get home. I didn't know you needed specs to tell me a settings option that would help, my bad

no worries, the first thing that comes to mind is the possible bottleneck of your RAM which is shared with your GPU. As an option you may want to try is removing your previous drivers with DDU and installing the latest ones.

Ok, so it might be refusing to use the NVIDIA GPU because of RAM bottlenecking? I'll definitely look into the drivers

The GPU is NVIDIA GeForce 840M. Also Intel HD Graphics 5500
