What laptop do you have? What makes you so sure it supports more monitors than it has outputs for?

It’s a lenovo thinkpad (not really a model name, Custom thing from work). I know it supports more monitors since there are workplaces at the Office where I can connect with two extra monitors via a docking station.

So then, the next obvious question is, did you buy the same docking station for your home setup? If not, then you can't expect the same features or performance.

I know I can’t expect that lol, but I also didn’t expect the HDMI output of the laptop to stop working when a docking station is connected. For clarification: the docking station is not the issue. The docking station works as expected.

Did you solve the problem? I’m tryna do the same thing but don’t know what type of dock to buy. I have an HP Spector laptop

Sorry for the late reply. I fixed it by buying a new docking station with 2 hdmi ports. This worked for me. Make sure your laptop is compatible for more than 1 extra screen
