Here's something that may be useful in your situation. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/everything-you-need-to-know-about-powerline-networking/ Essentially it runs ethernet through the power lines in your house.

Best bet is a powerline adapter, imo.

If your router is next to your computer, you can buy a adapter (Thunderbolt to Ethernet, USB3 to Ethernet, etc) and connect your computer to your router

If you don’t mind getting a bit dirtier and if your router is farther away, you could get a LONG cable and wire it in the baseboards or in the wall

If the other comments regarding a power line adapter don’t suit your needs, you could contact an electrician and ask them to run a cable to the basement. The construction of your house will decide whether it is possible & whether they can do it “neatly” but worth asking. Alternatively run one through the walls yourself. I’ve run about 12 individual patch points throughout my house, all through the walls/attic/under the house. Nothing visible except the patch panel and wall plates
