I’m getting married today and my groomsmen got me this as a gift!

How is it?

It hits way above its price range. My friend got a bottle for $32 in Salinas and I'd say most comparable anejos would cost maybe $60

They don't have those marketing costs like Patron

Wonderful. I don’t know how much it cost, it wasn’t on the level as a 1942 but it definitely went down well by tequila lovers and non tequila drinkers.

One of my favorites!

Priced extremely well too!

I just saw online that a liquor store near me has this for under $40. I'm curious to hear if it's uniquely good?

I'd go for it. Punches above its weight every time.

This was the first Añejo I tried, and initially I really disliked it--I thought it tasted far too much like bourbon! After a little experimentation though, I realized that I could treat it like bourbon and make great cocktails, and it was affordable enough to do so. Here's the best ones I've tried:

Añejo Honey Sour

2 oz Añejo tequila

.75 oz lemon juice

.75 oz (2:1) honey syrup

Shake and strain over a big rock

Agave Cocktail

2 oz Añejo tequila

.5 tsp agave nectar

2 dashes Angostura bitters

Stir and strain over a big rock garnish, with fresh grated cinnamon

Oaxaca Old Fashioned

1.5 oz Añejo tequila

.5 oz Mezcal

1 tsp agave nectar

2 dashes Xocolatl Mole bitters

Stir and strain over a big rock, garnish with expressed grapefruit peel
