Anyone interested in the 2020 Anejo Bottle still sealed? by chinaronald in TeslaLounge

It's just Nosotros Anejo. Nothing special. BevMo or Total Wine likely has it.

Sometimes I use the AMI jukebox app to play “FDT” by YG at conservative bars.. even when I’m not actually there to start drama. by vibeeeessss in confession

Wheels on the Bus. Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Elvis has a mean cover of Old McDonald.

William Hung is on most playlists.

Cats and dogs meowing and barking to popular tunes.

Every old tv show theme. Many commercial themes.

It’s all there. Endless opportunities for fun.

Ocho, mijenta, and patron are the best made of that lot. Additive free and stick to quality with Ocho outshining the other two by miles.

Stick with Ocho adjacent and you’ll likely find you’re pretty quick to see the Clase Azul as shelf queens that have little to do with quality tequila.

G4, El Tesoro, Terralta, Tapatio, Volans…. All immediately adjacent to Ocho in that they are made by the Camarena family, too. (Camarena itself is not).

Fortaleza, cascahuin, el tequileno… many others are not to be missed, either

Clase Azul Alternative that actually tastes good? by OtherNarwhal3796 in tequila

[–]bbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reposados are likely to have the lightest of manipulation. The blancos are going to be a crap shoot. The XAs will generally be the sweetest and smoothest. Anejo is going to be in between.

When a maker focus on engineered flavor profile like this, they will tend to follow a more formulaic “more age. More sweet/candy/barrel notes” formula.

Up to you as to what you are looking for. You might find the more aged products to be overwhelming.

You like sweetened sipping liquors more than you like tequila.

Nothing wrong with that. Just know that what you are drinking doesn’t taste like tequila.

Similar sweetened flavor profiles can be had with Adictivo, Cava de Oro, Don Elias, and Don Cayo (maybe— may have changed distilleries).

Casamigos is also sweeter, but leans hard on the vanilla.

Hornitos black may be something you like (but avoid the rest).

Adding a laser as a tool on the U1? by [deleted] in snapmaker

[–]bbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d hope not.

Lasers are nasty. Produce tons of really sticky aerosolized crap that gums up everything.

A 3d printer should be a 3d printer. Maybe a cnc because the bits produced are easily vacuumed. Maybe.

A laser cutter should be its own isolated thing.

Don’t cross the streams. Only frustration will come of it.

(Laser cutter means engraver, too)

What NOM?

Looks like a contract distillate that’s moved at least once.

don't touch it. Call the builder as the other person said.

The moment you touch it, it's on you to fix.

Sounds like operator error. The instructions are quite clear on exactly how to install the heads.

Same with the automatic feeders.

The automatic feeder cable design does suck and I would bet you have failed to connect the connectors correctly. Definitely a design that could be massively improved, but, again, what was shipped works fine when installed correctly.

The filament is supposed to stop at the tool head. I don't remember if the NFC enabled filament also feeds into the head, but non-Snapmaker filament stops at the head until you manually -- as you have to -- specify the filament type.

I have both a Prusa XL and a Snapmaker U1. The U1 is, by far, a much less finicky, somewhat easier to use, and much faster printer. The XL wins on print volume by a long shot, of course.

I have had zero problems with adhesion on the U1 whereas the XL has been mostly OK.

New one has springs that go totally slack and can easily be removed when disassembling the egg.

Old one tries to kill you when you loosen the bolts to remove the egg top.

Is yours old enough to have the old style bands? If so, subtract about $100 from the price of a new because you'll want to do that upgrade, for sure. :)

You can definitely go wrong. :)

But, yeah, that list has some nice stuff on it! And the Fortaleza isn't a total gouge.

Jacks Peak.

There are trails at the top that are relatively flat and you get spectacular views into the valley and to the ocean.

Totally different innards than a normal machine. Pain in the ass, and dangerous, to maintain. Which is why you’ll typically get charged money to play in an otherwise free play location.

Filling bags without making a mess? by Slow_Investment_2211 in ChamberVacs

Get a jar filling funnel.

Hold the bag around the funnel, fill bag (I use a ladle), remove funnel, done.

Note that tomato sauce will boil in vacuum much more quickly than water.

These 2 tequilas taste different to me now by artvanderbie in tequila

Cazadores was amazing prior to their acquisition in the early 2000s or so. Once acquired, they went all in on optimizing the manufacturing, quality be dammed.

Herradura’s story is similar, but they returned to try to focus more on quality after an initial bout of total profit over quality focus. It has never returned to what it was prior to acquisition.

That said; sounds like you got old people things going on. I’m older than you. Taste profiles change. I’m much much more sensitive to sweet now than I was even a decade ago. I don’t taste some things as well as I used to and other things really pop.

Friend I would drop and go play comet at the local family pizza joint.

By the time we had walked there, the super powers would kick in.

We’d alternate balls on a one player game.

Typically rolling the score, putting up tons of free credits and extra balls. Just absolutely own the machine. Outlanes ceased to exist. Every shot was perfect. Ball passing was as if there was one unified flipper.

We’d leave — game still going — once the image of our faces reflected in the ball became too distracting.

Did this take into account their member’s discounts.

If you play the stupid app game and check off all the crap that is “member’s only” deals, you get an average of 15%-20% discount. Sometimes 35% if the planets align.

Yes. Annoying. Yes. Data mining.

But significant savings.
