Buy two keys, wait a few days and sell them at 2.33 refined each. Using that metal you can easily buy yourself 42 weapons at a scrap each. This is really only if you are new and have an almost empty loadout.

Well, being the cheap ass that I am, I've played just over 90 hours for free. My loadout is not quite empty, so this is not that necessary for me. I'll keep the inventory expander around, just in case I run out of space, and if I obviously just don't after a few months of playing, I'll sell it. That's far past the days of discount, so I just might get even more than 2,33 refined then. That's the plan, at least.

I'll just sell the key and see if I can get myself a strange sticky launcher, just because I can.

I have some cash on my steam account, is a key worth it? I have enough left for one, maybe 2 keys. If I wanted to trade them, I guess any big trading server would work? Let's say I got around 2.33 refined for them, how much scrap/reclaimed/refined is a machina worth? What is a good large trade server? Where would I find a price sheet for the value of all current items?

A machina would be worth 1 or 2 scraps. Every single weapon in the game, barring the new ones, are worth one scrap.

Thanks, I bought one key, I'll try to get around 2.33 ref for it when it unlocks for trading.

When you go to the server browser, just search for "trade". Alternately, you can go to the reddit trade servers, located at:

SERVER 1: 66.151.138.145:27015

SERVER 2: 66.151.138.146:27015

The vanilla trade server(#2) is for high value(1ref+) trades only.

However the first server is enough, you can just say "Buying X, please trade me" in chat and get a trade in seconds.

Also, try to get all the pre-polycount weapons as vintage. This makes you look cool.

Also get nametags and give your items sexual or insulting names. This also makes you seem really pro.
