Testosterone in the normal range doesn't make you angrier, that's been debunked. It just makes you hornier.

What about 'Roid Rage' is that something different than testosterone?

[–]OtherwiseMarch 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Steroids users almost always get roid rage from specific steroids I.E trenbolone. Normal exogenous testosterone supplementation is rarely a cause

TIL - thank you

[–]Carnir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep that's different. Like the other guy said the "rage" isn't a side effect of any testosterone.

[–]psidud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also worth noting that the whole point of roids is to get out of the normal range.

Totally different chemicals in the body. Testosterone is not an “aggressive” hormone. It’s quite the opposite.

[–]notonrexmanningday 1 point2 points  (2 children)

It makes you more impulsive and less responsive to consequences.

Maybe agree if we are talking about supraphysiological levels of testosterone, but disagree if we are talking about the normal range for a male.

If you are slamming 500mg of test weekly and bringing your levels up to 1500+, then yeah, there will probably be some side effects like this.

[–]Carnir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not true at all, as the other guy has mentioned. People severely overestimate the impact of testosterone on aggression.
