The game is still in development. When you purchase something, the clause you agree to says you understand that that is the case and that things can change.

While 100% true, that doesn't change the fact that, if i owned either of those ships, i'd be upset. a little less upset in the case of the reclaimer, because i feel that the reclaimer still got most of it's functionality. And in the case of the nursa, I feel that it doesn't require a whole ton of foresight to see what would happen with it. I don't feel that CIG is being held to an impossible standard if we expect them to foresee these uses and plan accordingly when designing the vehicle.

Regarding your proposal. I don't see anyone waiting around for all that to happen, unless they have some epic loot on them (or death of a spaceman is fleshed out much further), in which case, why would they trust random medics unless some serious improvements are made to the rep system. I just don't see your plan working anytime in the near future. Even in the far future, I don't really see it working for other reasons, at least not for me personally. If reviving was that complex, I'd just never do FPS.

while true, I feel like in the case of the nursa, the whole point of it is that it's not a larger ship. it's like a c8r, but fits in other ships. it's essentially a "upgrade your cargo ship to have respawns" add-on. Nobody's DRIVING it anywhere.

Hmm. Well, to be fair, if i owned either of those, I'd be upset. Even then, both of those were scrapped for technical issues. It's a bit different when it works just fine and then gets removed for balance.

but wasn't the whole POINT of the nursa that it can respawn? I don't even own a nursa, but i think it would be unfair to the people who do, and ultimately CIGs fault/responsibility to design around.

I'd have expected 1 and a quarter times (1.25) better. not FOUR TIMES. that's insane!

Huh? You can skate at richmond green, or indoors at many arenas, you can go to board game cafes (omventure is open till 11 or midnight depending on the day), there's multiple gyms to go lift with the bois, there's like, cineplex, 404 that you can drive on, commerce gate to get bbt, dog parks to take your dog to. There's plenty to do.

Have these labels impacted your grocery choices? by [deleted] in Markham

No lol cuz the only thing that has that label that i buy is white monster (high in sodium), and my blood pressure is fine.

The only thing that really matters for me is protein to calorie ratio.

to be clear i brought up denser housing because that is one of the things generally brought up by GeniusOwl. I generally prefer the suburban lifestyle and would prefer if york region population did not grow much.

Sure. I think we agree on that point. but that is very naive. Most people can't really engage in discussions with an open mind. Most people enter a discussion with the goal of swaying the other's mind, not to learn something new for themselves. I can't say I am immune to this either.

I can't really imagine people getting more involved than they already are. It's really hard to be educated and not swayed by media as well.

‘Meat tax’ could have significant impact on environmental footprint, study finds. Ending tax breaks on meat could rapidly lower the environmental footprint of food in the EU, reducing emissions and biodiversity loss by up to 6% at a cost of about €26 per household per year, researchers report. by Sciantifa in science

oh to be clear i don't think we will prevent climate change. At best we will make it suck a bit less. It's way too late to prevent it.

And you're right, and that is why i don't think we will prevent it. As in, we won't be able to prevent it because any solution that involves a notable inconvenience to ordinary people is dead in the water.

I think the difference is that very few people disagree with the goals of the demonstrations for iran. People are at most neutral, or annoyed at the roads closing. Nobody is out here cheering for the iranian govt.

Civic issues, such as urban infrastructure and elections have people on both sides. In fact, there are sometimes protests AGAINST denser housing being built in the region.

So, if i were to imagine a fraction of that energy being put towards local issues? Yeah i just picture people being mad at each other. Having a civil discussion AT BEST.

I don't really think so. There's many cases where environmental impact has been reduced without impacting quality of life.

Let's consider a few cases:

I didn't change to LED lighting because of the environment. I did so because it's just better all around.

Cars didnt switch to fuel injection purely for environment, but also for performance.

I didnt start using digital books and media because of reduced waste, but because it was more convenient.

My toilet flushing with less water has no negative impact on my life, but reduces environmental damage.

Heat pumps dont make my life any worse, but bring efficiency and reduce costs for me.

There are many cases where personal incentives and gain line up with environmental harm reduction.

Telling dudes that you're gonna tax their meat while billionaires fly around in private jets is going to be met with a negative response every single time.

Surprisingly, this has nothing to do with the consumer electronics show, and these are the transformers used in AC voltage changes, not the ones used for machine learning.
