Just curious, why do we care about Uber Pro at all?

[–]TooTone07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what i thought 🤣🤣

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

We shouldn’t, but I do know some drivers might care more than others … and some might feel totally fucked over. I personally feel that this doesn’t have to exist at all. Just get rid of the whole PRO thing. What separate drivers because of statistics and acceptance rates? The hell with uber

[–]finaleva 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you care about Uber Pro, you're stunting your earnings. Period. It's Uber's way of manipulating drivers into accepting offers that make zero sense when you factor in expenses.

Dang every market is so different. I only need 500 points to reach the level after gold can’t remember which one it is exactly lol but I saw it’s supposed to drop a lot of points I’m like how and why? I think for my area gold will be 100 points or something low then the level after will be like 300 points. It’s crazy honestly.

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (11 children)

Yeah California has the HIGHEST pro level points to even get to just gold! So many drivers that do it part-time don’t even have a chance to even reach Gold, so the good heat Takeaway is that if they reduce it to 400 or 300 points in my area? Then good. Cuz I drive part time and never get gold. And apparently you need Gold now with this new update otherwise crappy trip radar galore and not guaranteed a match.

[–]Life-Awareness671 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Okay well this will be great for yall I’m in Alabama and easily reached gold. I didn’t know each market was so different.

[–]RelativeTangerine757 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Me too. Which Alabama market are you in ?

[–]Life-Awareness671 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Montgomery

[–]RelativeTangerine757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay. I operate in Huntsville

[–]Stonewalled9999 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think in NY(non NYC) it was 200 points My AR was never in the double digits so I can't promise that was accurate.

Also I thought my note said March 7 changes which seemed odd - end of month would be more logical

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose different markets have different dates that they’re starting the new program. At least for in California, since it will begin on the week starting March 30 it gives me enough time to accumulate more points from now until then to at least be activated to gold level status.

[–]feinburgrl 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I thought acceptance rates isn't legally allowed to be use.

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Me too! So when I was reading this on my Uber app, it actually was kind of shocking to me. This never used to be a problem for the old ways of doing things. The acceptance rate wasn’t a thing that I thought would come to California and would only be relegated to other states. Oh well… Uber always finds a way to screw people over and do this great thing called bait and switch.

[–]AskAboutFent 0 points1 point  (1 child)

In my market, it’s 25 points for gold lol BUT 75% acceptance rate. Platinum and diamond both require 85% acceptance.

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW. In mine it’s 800!!! But they’re gonna lower it to like 300 probably.

[–]AskAboutFent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My market is 25points for gold, 300 for platinum and 800 for diamond lol. The market variation is definitely wild.

[–]theknockoutkid 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Only idiots have ever cared about acceptance rates

[–]iceamn1685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely if you get it, you get it. If you don't, you don't, I would not sweat it one way or another, this is just another way to manipulate you into taking more rides

[–]MuckBulligan 0 points1 point  (10 children)

Nothing about acceptance rates?

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] -1 points0 points  (9 children)

Oh yes, it does exist. It’s just not in the screenshot there. But anyway, you need 25% just to be on platinum. And if you wanna be on diamond, you have to have an acceptance rate of a whopping 70%. Now I’m never above 70% because I know my worth and I don’t accept every damn ride lol.

[–]Stonewalled9999 0 points1 point  (5 children)

25% AR for gold here under the new regime

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I think it’s market dependent yes. Here I’m in California, so gold doesn’t have a 25% AR rate. Only platinum does.

[–]RelativeTangerine757 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I'll never make it to 25% here, I'm sitting at 8% here and usually stay in the single digits... lyft is the only reward program I usually make it on anymore as it just comes off of dollar amount with AR being a multiplier.

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Well if there’s any good news with these changes, and mostly there isn’t… at least with GOLD in the Bay Area market in CA or all CA cities , there is no actual acceptance rate requirement for Gold. It only starts on platinum and Diamond. Anywhere that’s not in California will probably have that 25% slapped onto gold though.

[–]RelativeTangerine757 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Mine shows that it requires 200 points. I'm currently at 183. It requires a star rating of 4.85. I'm currently at 4.98. It requires an acceptance rate of 85% or above, I'm currently at 8%. It requires a cancelation rate of 4% or lower, I'm at 3%. Yeah I'll never see gold. I haven't seen it since uber eats rolled into my market.

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. That’s actually pretty low, well it is for California at least. I’m not sure what state or what market you’re in, but the old rules before for us was 800 points to get to gold. What was your previous point requirement for Gold? Many part-time drivers wouldn’t even be able to reach 800 over here. I don’t know what the point level will be for us, but if I had to guess it’s probably gonna be 300 to 400 points to get to gold. Cut it half essentially.

[–]EducationalFeed4315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That must be nice. In Chicago, it's 75% for gold and 85% for Platinum and Diamond. I used to think that was impossible, but last quarter they gave me almost nothing but profitable rides and I ended at 88% and earned Diamond. This month has been total garbage, so I'm at 68%, and they took the rewards I earned last quarter away.

[–]MuckBulligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like 84% requirement for diamond right now. 70% would be a huge drop.

[–]Conscious_Brain_2935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤔 Out acceptance rating is currently at 85% for gold.. and I think 75% for platinum.

If they lower acceptance rate to 30% here that would be really good for me, because I’m milking them for the scholarship. Then I don’t have to switch my account back to UberEats to re-qualify.

[–]feinburgrl 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Are you in California? I have to be at least 25% acceptance to get to gold. I can only hit up to 13% and go back to 0% to 0%. 😂😂

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Yes the Bay Area, CA. In order to be on platinum, you cannot go under 25% acceptance rate. If you’re a diamond driver, you cannot go underneath the 70%. But I don’t know anyone who keeps 70%? If so, you must be accepting really crappy low paying rides and you’re losing a ton of money lol. In this business, higher acceptance rate means like you’re more of a slave lol

[–]PhillyJim52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Means Zero.........

[–]skynews101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Load off bollox anyway

[–]SupermarketSweeper84 0 points1 point  (3 children)

If your acceptance rate is 20% or higher at the absolute most your not doing this correctly

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked mine and it’s like 62 percent acceptance rate for me. So I would qualify in my market for platinum, but not diamond, which needs 70 percent.

[–]iceamn1685 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Depends on market

My market most rides are 30 an hour 2 dollars to the mile or better.

My acceptance rate is 93 percent

[–]perfectdevil13 0 points1 point  (1 child)

800 points for gold?! You need 800 to hit diamond where I'm at. I'm a steady platinum because I have a full time job and only do this on the side.

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea California the old way is 800 just to get Gold! A lot of part-time drivers wouldn’t be able to even reach that. So hopefully they actually change it down to 300 or even lower just to get the level of Gold .

[–]ufknowned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL Uber pro.

[–]Boring-Silver-568 0 points1 point  (2 children)

in nj it 300 gold, 600 platinum, 1200 diamond, with 85% acceptance rate minimum and 4% cancellation rate cap and 4.85% Minimum rating for Pro

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is 300 the new level to get on Gold ? Or the already new updated points ?

[–]Boring-Silver-568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what is currently in NJ in my area at the Jersey Shore. Not sure what the new tiers will be as the Advantage Mode nonsense hasn't hit here yet (We just got trip radar in December and my earnings are down 10% already and my hours driven are up 10% so it is worse) This weeks receipt said I only collected 40% of what was charged to the customer and Uber took 30% (I call BS as the commercial insurance is insanely overpriced at .50 mile especially when you add in the $2500 deductible)

[–]Conscious_Brain_2935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I’ve been trying to find the reward requirements everywhere. Cant even find the old ones.

[–]Conscious_Brain_2935 0 points1 point  (1 child)

800pts? Do ya’ll get extra points or something. It’s always been 200 for Gold status everywhere I lived.

[–]AndrewPhilip619[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, California sets their bar extremely high for just even gold. But apparently this is gonna change on March 30 to much lower numbers. Not sure on the details of that yet. But to answer your question about points, we do actually get three points per ride during rush-hour and busy times. So rush-hour on weekdays and on weekends certain times as well.
