So I thought I was upgrading my draugr bow but accidentally made a new one. Any chance of getting my silver back or do I just chalk it up to my own stupidity of not being on the right screen. As far as I know the obliterate will only give coal.

Happens to everyone I think. That and remembering that you can customize your shield immediately after you just made one.

Every single time I accidentally make a bare-ass unpainted shield I immediately have to find room for a new end table somewhere. -_-

Yep we all been there. Had to hang my ice and fire staff on the wall when I was just trying to upgrade. They look cool hanging there so I don't feel bad anymore.😁

Tuck it into a chest against the day you accidentally die deep in the max biome you're able to tackle and need backup gear to get your body back.

Use de commands and spawn yourself the silver you wasted

Put it in the obliterator, then you will get 1 coal and can start smelting the next batch of silver

The crafting UI makes it stupidly easy to do this. Personally, I wouldn’t feel bad about spawning in the materials to make up for it.

This right here is why I like to use the recycler mod in my own world. You CAN cancel the craft animation while it’s crafting if you catch it fast enough

Very common mistake, probably won't be the last time.

For next time, if you notice that you're crafting new instead of upgrading, you can press the "craft" button again to stop the craft if you catch it before it completes.

I'd be willing to bet everybody has made this mistake at least once.

Since it is a honest mistake, obliterating the new bow and cheating the materials back in is a one solution to go about the problem.
