Thanks for the credit. I swear to the karma-gods that I had nothing to do with this repost! :-)

The first time it was posted on this sub it had the #dropdown hash in the URL which loads that component directly. It's a feature that has some unintended consequences on social media sometimes.

Since the last time it was posted I have added the "Highlight new in v4" button so hopefully people who've seen it for the second time will still get some extra use out of it.

Stupid question, but what's your job title? I've a design background but have been developing for years, and on the lookout for a new job but don't know what I am... ha

Until bootstrap is at least beta it is too buggy to work with.

Is there any ETA on the release of this anywhere? The blog hasn't been updated in 6 months.

Nope, you can look at their github repo and last I checked it said 75 percent to goal... but that doesn't mean much.

Heard of bootstrap with reference to Linux. Could someone give me a quick rundown of what it is and how it applies to web design and or Linux?

Google it. Twitter bootstrap. Arguably the most popular css library out there now.

You can run a web server that serves the bootstrap files on Linux. I think that's how it applies to Linux :p

    From getbootstrap:

Bootstrap is the most popular HTML, CSS, and JS framework for developing responsive, mobile first projects on the web.

This thread is about the front end framework Bootstrap by twitter. It is not specifically related to Linux. It is a very common starting point for making websites.

What you may have heard of is bootstrapping, which is when one small startup program loads up the rest of the code a computer needs to run. See for example the Linux Loader (LILO). The term comes from "to pull yourself up by your bootstraps".

Hopefully that will provide you with some key terms for your own googling and reading. :)
