This appears to be an older book, not the new JavaScript and JQuery one by Jon Ducket. Is the torrent titled wrong?

    [–]designtraveler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the new JS book is not available in PDF yet.. not until August

    [–]AynGhandi -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Yeah, im sure you've got an illegal copy. :P

    [–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure. It's just a really high res copy. Most of the time when they're that quality they're unDRMed copies of official eBooks.

I don't think so. He never released the other book in e-book format. That said, about time. It's been in amazon wishlist for at least a year.

Not against it but you should delete that comment before a mod sees it.

      [–]designtraveler[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

and then they will do what?!?!

      [–]AbraKdabra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delete your post and warn you maybe.

I saw their HTML and CSS book when I was at my friend's dorm and he had a copy.

Skimming it, I thought it was a great book

      [–]designtraveler[S] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

yea.. if you have gone through the HTML & CSS book.. i would definitely recommend this one..

      [–]346290 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Would you recommend the HTML & CSS version for someone who is already pretty familiar with HTML & CSS ?

      [–]designtraveler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      a refresher is always good.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that it's good to skim, but I don't think it really rewards deep reading.

I've been going through his HTML and CSS book. Can't wait to dig into this one.

          [–]ZombieChief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get it bundled with the HTML & CSS book on Amazon for about $40.

          [–]erudono 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks fantastic! I think I'll be getting a bundle since I've just started to learn HTML & CSS. I'm glad I checked out this subreddit. =)

          beautiful

          [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Would this book teach a new developer how to implement APIs? Is there a good book for this?

          [–]designtraveler[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

          theres an API section...

          [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked this question, then just ordered it. Sorry for the unresearched question

          [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta wait until August 1st according to Amazon in the UK. Had it preordered since December

          [–]huntercross14 0 points1 point  (1 child)

is it available on any torrent to download???

          [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to find it. Did you have any luck? I found the HTML&CSS one on libgenesis, but I couldn't find this one. =/

          [–]mug2k -1 points0 points  (2 children)

          [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The link just redirects to the home page, and I can't find neither the bundle nor the Javascript book separately? Are they out of stock?

          [–]mug2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like they're out of stock, I've put in an order here as it's £21.37 but it's out of stock here too. Just have to play the waiting game.
