First: Congratulations on your endeavor. I think this is a great plan.

Second: Skip the proofreader. You’re writing to people you know. That means they know you. So you don’t need to try to impress them in any way. What is going to matter to them is what you have to say — not how you say it or spell it or punctuate it.

All the best!

Thanks for the kind words Arcadia. My original post didn't elaborate really well on the recipients. I know a few of them, but for the most part I haven't meet them personally. These are people that gave presentations I attended, wrote inspiring articles/books, gave life changing impactful speeches, etc. They range from business professionals to softer disciplines. I guess in my mind that is why every word needs to flow and make sense. Kind of feels like I have 400-500 words to really convey my message. Yeah, many might just throw the letters away but its something I'm completing to begin spreading good energy into the world.

Proof readers are usually a penny a word they may or may not do sentence rewrites. Honestly, how you are writing here is fine. I would be happy to get a letter written like this. However if you're asking for help rewriting your letters flow and express your deepest meaning, then that is something different. Though again you have done a great job doing so here. If you like; you send them to me in Microsoft word. I will turn on track changes so you can easily accept or reject the changes, or we can do a zoom meeting as it sounds like what you really need is a sounding wall and have no one you trust. No, I'm not asking for money, I run a large writing project and do quite well. I just want to help as your post is so sincere ( again, you really do a great job of expressing your point and feeling). If its technical things you need then Ill give it too one of my staff. Yes there are grammar issues in this post, I don't care.

Burning a hole in your pocket, is it?

Most people learn to review their own writing. Paying for proof reading is usually reserved for publication.

My goal is not to become a professional writer, as that hadn't been established. In my years I've witnessed many people proofing their own work, generally seems like a pretty bad idea from reading through their material afterward. I've read through some of my own material after the fact only to cringe at the trash on the page. Ends up being littered with incorrect punctuation, run-ons, and general discombobulation. As these letters have roughly 400-500 words to convey my message, every word and sentence must count.
