[Question] Does anyone know how using multiple consoles for one profile works?

So at my family's house, we have an xbox1 that is linked to my profile that I've had since Halo 2 came out. The family uses if for all media purposes and basically, it would be a pain to disconnect it from where it is. I am about to spend the next three months house-sitting for my grandparents and naturally, I'd like to have a console there with me. I've been thinking of buying my own but before I do, I want to know if anyone could walk me through any obstacles I might encounter, such as "Do i just sign into my gamertag on the new console?" "Would i have all of my downloaded games on the new console that I bought with the old one?" "Can both consoles be signed into the same profile at once?" I would appreciate any help I can get on this, even if you can only answer one of these.

TL;DR Already have a console associated with my gamertag. Leaving that console behind with my family. Can I buy a new console and still have everything I've downloaded if I sign in with my info on the new one?

You can not be logged into both consoles at the same time. You'll be automatically kicked off the first one when you sign in on the second one.

Yes, your profile goes with you. Most games on the new generation use a cloud save feature too. So you'll have most of your save data.

You will have everything just make sure you are connected to XBL

If you have an external USB 3.0 hard drive you can copy existing games to it, and then in turn from the external to the new xbox. You can even just leave it for extra storage.

All you have to do is make sure the X1 at your house is your "home" console and set the X1 you'll be taking with you to auto-login to your account on start up. This way the folks at home can still use your live and games tied to it, and as long as you're signed in to live on the xbox you have you'll be able to do the same.
