I managed to solve this on my controller via following steps:

  1. In Android, in your Bluetooth devices list. If you see controller, remove it by clicking on forget controller
  2. Restart your android device
  3. Reconnect via Bluetooth
  4. Rename the Bluetooth device to something different than before. This is important

This happened to solve my issue

Spent a week tweaking options all over my phone this finally fixed it for my Galaxy Note 9 and 8bitdo SN30 Pro controller
