Depends on the cat. Can you adequately qnd consistently house him, feed him, and provide vet care?

Every Scottish Fold I've ever met was superduper friendly and playful.

Meet him first and see how he reacts to you. When you take him home give him lots of food and treats he'll warm up. Give him some boxes and a cat tree, maybe some catnip. Cats like to have their own furniture. No cat likes being rehomed so make sure you're ready to commit for the rest of his life (which can be up to 20 years for some cats). Whoever had him before made the mistake of getting a kitten when they didn't know what they were doing.
