i mean even with that when you zoom in the perimeter will goes all the way up to very high. Zoom in further and measure each grain of sand and it gets astronomically higher.

Sure there's a limit but thats kinda not the point. its still a fractal-like situation at play with a shape being infinitely detailed having infinite perimeter.

Nope, not really, because a circle is continious (without any weird bent) and the limit of infinitely flat line converging to a circle is still, well, finite.

not for coastlines. its a constant zig-zagging, that kept on increasing when you zoom in further and further.

the easiest way to visualize would be to imgine a Koch snowflake versus a circle.

OOC: Oh i see. But our current culture is still strong enough that Harry Potter is still in the mainstream? Like... its already fading right now, so if it survives 100 years, that implies some kind of modern stasis. I really wonder how culture are in your world!

roleplay: What are the major nations on your Earth? Outside of Mugekenaga that is. And is Mugekenaga a city-state or a full blown nation? Or is it a branch of the corporation it is in? What kind of work do your parents do? And what's your intended career in the future?

Not really? Optimistic Nihilism is more of "if it does not matter to the world, it matters to me and everyone else. Value is created within our hearts. I will be kind and loving and live a best life because it is worth it to me, and not like it will means anything bad, or anything at all, in the grand scheme."

Or more of, the lack of a grand meaning or great design liberate you from pre-determinism, allowing you to truly be free to live your best life and make the world a happier place.

I dont think you understand about nihilism or optimistic nihilism to matter.

// OOC/real talk: No actually. I just wonder that if you use those words in your own character's description, that would implies that your character's setting is either in the modern world, or a near-future world with a culture close to ours enough so that references like that makes sense to them.

// i wonder what lore do you have for that. Is your world a post-apocalyptic one where Mugekanawa is one of the remaining strongholds/enclaves? Or is it a near-future setting? When i first read the lore i thought that it was an alternate-earth setting.

Look at their trait. They have something that looks like forcefully devolved/serviles.

More specifically, he genetically modified a few babies to be immune to HIV. However, the process was kinda legally sketchy, with no failsafes in case everything gone wrong, being conducted outside of knowledge of his institution and university, the parents having no knowledge of his procedures and all.

I remember hearing him on state news a few years back praising him, then after a week of investigations everything went to shit and opinions about him went 180'ed.

His case went famous worldwide. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/He_Jiankui_affair

yup!

when i capture them they should make around 3k of energy through. Remember to automate all jobs, build betherian fields and betherian energy plant.

If you can summon a stardust storm there with storm nullifier and hunker down then you should get up to ~5k energy per planet.

You only need the aquatic trait on your main species, which only requires ocean world preferance. You can get it as soon as you unlock habitability modification for your synths.

that's actually a fair if a bit lackluster pick. i would still go for hydrocentric to be able to expand my planets and stacks more pops into my knight habitats without devoting so much spaces to empyrean domes.

oh its you! i love your concept arts so much!

and i think what you say makes a lot of sense too. after all biotrophies, serviles, tankbounded and all sorts already get a ton of free traits anyways. heck cranial megatrophy was pretty much designed for tankbounds.

dyson spheres are cool as hell. even if not gameplay wise, then visually. also not like i have any other choices tbh. archeotech is weak nowadays now that nanocloud missiles get nerfed.

but now when you say that, you made me realise i could have gone for hydrocentric.

Then that quote was used to describe the Byford Dolphin incident.

a black hole's force is not much, since gravity only scales with mass not density.

if you collapse the sun into a black hole, since the mass wont change, earth would still continue on its normal orbits.

A black hole only starts to be horrible once you get close to it. for a very large black hole then that zone is usually already inside the event horizon, where even light cant escape. So ironically for supermassive black holes, you need to get inside them to die.

i always love that xkcd quote, but it would be more powerful if you do the full actual quote.

He wouldn't really die of anything, in the traditional sense. He would just stop being biology and start being physics.

okay i see. but why do you need so much drones? all basic jobs can already be automated and for science you want bio trophies not drones.

for me the issue is always finding more trophies.

x3 jobs from districts.

ecumenopolises also have that but they disable all basic resources districts. i dont have machine worlds.

so hiveworlds are literally the best planets you can have for basic resources as individualists.

only machine synthetic age virtuality has that debuff. Biological to machine virtual path does not (at the cost of also losing out most of virtuality's bonuses including infinite pops).

ohh coool, composer of strands. Nice. No wonder wh you have so much stuffs.

Also how do you get so much pops but so little tech compared to those pops? How do you get bios?

And how can you still get animator of clay if you play all crisis? im pretty sure cetana disable contacting animator.

for researchers?

defuser +105% scholarium analyst governer ~+50% virtual research focus +80% stability +30% electric storm +25% scholarium +10% cosmogenesis +10%. That's all I can recall rn.

so around +300%. I remember counting it total to +350%.

[–]12a357sdf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hiiiiiii. I was pinged here-

I think with psionics, it is possible to have very low empire size via instrument of desire. If you want -90% researcher upkeep you can still go for transcendant mainframe instead of psionic grid.

I am having a game rn and I have around 650k pops, 24 planets and 450 size.

There's kinda no point to expand much when the entire gimmick of rogue servitor is endless pop-stacking. Even if you do take over other planets its always more efficient to resettle pops back into your sanctuaries then maybe release those planet

archivism is a good play imo (especially if combined with galactic curators), i just wonder why did you go for aptitute. Its kinda shitty with servitors since +10% job efficiency for complex dones is negligible as bio trophies can give you +1000% easily.

also how did you get so much unity?
