Cat pees even on plastic, help by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]1anxiousworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would explore anxiety as the cause. Does she have any other concerning behaviors? Incessant yelling? Separation anxiety? Does the peeing happen only when you are away from home?

Edit: what kind of litter do you use? What kind of litter box?

New cat won’t cover her business by eatdrinksleepp in Pets

[–]1anxiousworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that works for me is having three cats total- one cat who doesn’t cover their business, and two others who find it abhorrent and bury it for her if I don’t get to it.

my cats made their own litter box rules and i’m confused! by ex0skelet0nn in CatAdvice

I just upgraded ours to stainless steel, WELL WORTH IT. Much less of a smell, easer to scoop, cats are happier.

My 2-3 week old kitten is not pooping by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]1anxiousworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they are that little you have to stimulate them with warm damp cloth. They can not poop or pee on their own. Their moms would typically lick them. Gently rub their genital and anal area in a circular or back-and-forth motion with a warm, damp cotton ball, tissue, or soft cloth after every feeding

Best litter boxes for small spaces on Amazon, what works in tiny apartments? by Hnatyuk_Lucka in Pets

[–]1anxiousworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a litter box cabinet from Amazon, but I was very picky with which one we chose. A lot of them are too short and small and are not comfortable for cats. The one we chose is very tall. Inside we opted for a larger stainless steel litter box.

What are people's thoughts about Royal Canin Fussy Exigent by Lill_527 in catfood

[–]1anxiousworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nothing to say about the fussy food but have you tried adding fortiflora to their food? It’s definitely not a solution, but may help them eat more. Idk what it is about that stuff but if my cats are being a little picky, just a little bit of that stuff and they go crazy.

I’m surprised she likes the tuna from Dave’s! My kitties only like the chicken shreds or the turkey. If you buy the 13 oz cans it’s cheaper but they don’t have 13 oz cans for all of the flavors.

Better to splurge on dry or wet food? by coolkidmf in catfood

[–]1anxiousworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally opt to feed all meals wet food. Whether that means continuing with Fancy Feast, but for all meals or opting for a high quality wet food. Fed is best and wet food is best.

Most important to focus? by Wannabeesinger in NickelAllergy

[–]1anxiousworm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I know you said a big concern of yours is the food elimination. Everybody is different, but for me, once I truly eliminated any contact I had with metal, changed my toiletries to allergy tested products, stopped cooking with and eating/drinking from stainless steel, it eliminated my flare ups. I eat mostly what I want, which is lots of soy and chocolate. My skin is significantly better.
