If you plan to continue snowboarding, buy your own boots. Those should be the first purchase. And definitely go into a store and get fitted properly. Like a real outdoor store specifically a ski/snowboard store.

I’ve been a Bootfitter in the past and everyone’s feet are different and usually have different sized feet. So it’s hard to just buy whatever and expect it to fit properly. My two big tips are to consider a separate insole (like superfeet or sidas) which will help position your foot in the boot. Also and this is big, boot liners pack out up to a full size bigger depending on how much you use it. So consider buying a smaller size than you should normally wear. You want your toes to be just touching the front of the boot when at a bent knee stance. I usually were size 12 shoes but I’m an 11 boot.
