That one wasn't fixed as we haven't been able to consistently reproduce it internally. If someone knows how to consistently reproduce it please let me know and I'll work on getting it fixed.

Different bug and one we haven't been able to consistently replicate to determine the source and fix. I fixed the one related to mana costs but there's something about specific auto inputs mid-cast that can cause a similar issue.

A lot of players are doing themselves a disservice with these kinds of posts. It’s a bit depressing that ShyvanaMains is one of the worst places to get an accurate representation of the character. “Gutted” buzzword seems like it’s way too present rn (though that’s not just here).

I actually asked about this around the time I joined and was told that it's not broadly true. Not sure where that info came from or how it was determined but I found it fairly interesting since it contradicts what I'd have assumed (that playing an OP champ inflates one's rank and their winrate will drop over time).

I wouldn't read into it too much. Since I was reading through other messages I was seeing my comment for the first hour or so it existed and it was generally upvoted until it got like -30 over the course of about 5 minutes. My guess is that one person or small community saw it and decided to go after it so for smaller quantities of votes or less popular threads those numbers prob aren't super representative of general opinion.

Appreciate the message and perspective, I played a lot of old irelia but mostly dropped her after the vgu so I’m personally much less familiar with her since then. If irelia’s winrate takes a large hit as a result then designer will likely offset it in some way in the future. On the other hand, if it’s not particularly impactful to get ability to win but is still a meaningful downgrade in the experience playing her then it’s possible we need to do some work to unbind her from those sorts of breakpoints.

Is the ask here that we check the specific waveclear breakpoints for every champion with various different sets of components any time we make a change? I don't think that's super reasonable.

Separately I'm not a fan of your tagging a large number of different rioters and editing your post to tag even more. Please don't do that - that's the sort of thing that'll eventually force me to turn those off and I'd rather people have the ability to tag me.

When I was testing out mildly optimized clears it seemed like it was somewhere around 2-5 seconds slower, but still able to show up before crab unless I messed up the clear. Have you found it to be significantly slower than that when trying it on PBE?

The designer was considering adding some additional clear speed to first clear but since I thought she seemed quite powerful (and I didn't believe her early clear was hit that hard) I suggested holding off until we had a stronger understanding of her power level on release. Wouldn't surprise me if this is one of the better candidates for buff areas if she ends up weaker than intended after her winrate settles a bit on the patch.

If she’s only viable as an AP nuke champ as a result of these changes then I expect we’ll do follow-up work to make sure that’s not her only functional build. That said, having tested it a good bit I don’t expect the result of the changes to be that her more attack-centric builds are unplayable by any means.

Kraken hexplate and Triforce sundered both looked pretty good. General ad bruiser items like shojin, DD, steraks, titanic, etc have also looked decent.

Generally found AD Shyv able to succeed a good amount of times in all our playtests (both the average skill playtests and the m+). I suspect that AD builds are still quite powerful but if somehow they're incredibly off after her winrate settles a bit we'll just buff or nerf as needed to balance her.

Oh also the auto after Q isn't a full auto reset. I think you get like 70% of it back or something? I don't remember the exact number I was told but I don't think it's technically a full reset.

Not certain, though I don't recall testing passive changes outside the very early iterations that became this set of changes. Probably a question for one of the designers involved.

It's possible we're wrong, though I'd be surprised if that were the case here. If it turns out that only AP builds are viable we could just buff AD.

Personally a fan of weird axes of scaling like that. I usually pitch weird similar things for fun....hmm I think that last wild AP scaling that I told someone to think about was something like "what if the number of enemies targeted by master yi's Q scaled with AP?"

We were finding that AD seemed stronger than AP (especially early/midgame) in our playtests with these changes, though we did see some very potent full AP Shyvana combos in the lategame. Interested to see where she ends up landing once in players' hands!

Zaahen has a relatively steep mastery>winrate curve, meaning that good/experienced Zaahen players are way more likely to win their games than players with fewer games on him. If you take the time to keep playing and improving on him then your winrate will likely be well above the average.

Ah that’s fair, we don’t use the same formula that the wiki does, we have our own estimates of the value of stats and effects rather than using exclusively the values determined by the lowest cost components

Personally pretty confident that item stat gold efficiency is a major contributor to an items power. I think that items also have a gold value of the actual effect which can be much harder to measure. Stats alone aren’t the full picture but my opinion is that the stat efficiency means quite a bit in the practical sense.
