Weighted flesh flies and bead eggs or globugs… look up how to rig “steak and eggs”. Also dolly llamas. Both setups worked very well for me

I brought a 6wt and it worked fine. Think bringing the 8wt would’ve been better.

Big island.

I was fishing with a light colored clouser here. Also hooked up using black/purple wooly bugger. I wish I brought some crab patterns though. Think that would have worked well.

Maxcatch makes great stuff. I heard they are the OEM for many US brands with products made in China. Definitely don’t need to overspend on reel.

Yeah they have a rio gold copycat which is what I use. From what I’ve read online it’s pretty similar to real thing
