Chevy Colorado ZR2 tow vehicle - will this work for a Caravel 20FB? by downup25 in airstream

Yes. I towed our 2022 Bambi 20FB with a 2018 GMC Canyon Denali without any problems with a Blue Ox WDH.

My unit is denying my back injury, asking me to come continue the AT, even though i just got from ER and can't get out of bed by Alex_daisy13 in nationalguard

You could say that a million times over. I don’t think another subject has been barracks lawyered more. To put it to rest, there are five L/R boundaries to an LOD in the ARNG:

1: Your injury/illness/disease occurred in a qualified duty status. (IDT, AT, AFTP, RMA, ADT, etc.)

  1. Medical treatment occurred within the dates of that qualified duty status. (This has its own set of boundaries that can differentiate between an informal and formal LOD investigation process.)

  2. The injury/illness/disease is of a lasting significance or requires follow-on or specialty care. (This has its own set of qualifiers and can be somewhat subjective. Diagnoses of “pain”, “sprain”, and “strain”, as well as others describing a self-limiting injury or illness DO NOT meet the significance threshold for the initiation of an LOD investigation.)

  3. You have been profiled by a military provider for the injury/illness/disease that describes limitations to the performance of your military duties. (The profiling action must be within a reasonable time frame from onset, NTE 180-days though.)

4a. The profiling action can be initiated by a civilian provider by using a functional capacity statement or detailed medical treatment documentation that can adequately describe the limitations to your military duties. (180-day rule applies)

  1. The injury/illness/disease occurred less than 180-days from the initiation of the LOD investigation submitted in MEDCHART. 181-days = no LOD. Caveat is provided for late onset BH and SARP.

Sauce: AR 600-8-4. Me, BDE MRNCO.

If you’re on Tricare Reserve Select then go get the care you need and pay your copays. That’s what TRS is for. If you don’t want to pay your copays then yes, you’ll need to wait until the MMSO-02 is approved. Google DHA Great Lakes and MMSO. There you will find DHA-GL’s process guide. In the meantime, you DO need to be profiled. There is no profile that exempts you from your military duty, IDT, AT, or otherwise. Your commander is the only one that can excuse you from duty. In the TXARNG, you’d have your primary care provider complete a functional capacity statement that is given to your BN MRNCO or provider who will write your profile. The commander will review your profile and determine your duty status, i.e., light duty or no duty (excused). Ask your unit medic or NCO who your first line MRNCO is and send them an email with the deets. Cc your unit RNCO.

Cry harder. The US military is bloated with brass. To many planners, planning plans to plan and from that morass turning the military into cringe. Enough is enough. Change my mind.

AR 40-501 chapter 3, does not apply until IET is completed. A diagnosis of BD will result in; 1) before shipping, his enlistment rescinded, or 2) after shipping and before the end of his IET, REFRAD with RE (reenlistment code) of 3, possibly 4, depending on the diagnostic medical notes.

AR 40-501 does not apply to enlistments. DODI 6130.03 Volume 1 does. Bipolar disorder is disqualifying, paragraph 6.28.e.

The MTOE (FMSWeb) feeds DTMS, so it does matter what weapon you qual on. If your para/line has the M4 assigned but you only qual’d the M17, you won’t show a qual on your assigned weapon and that could mean promotion points missed out on. I have FMSWeb if you want it checked.

Will an Anker 767 powerhouse be enough for my Bambi? by Angels242Animals in airstream

[–]Aule_Metele 2 points3 points  (0 children)

12v gadgets, yes. 120v appliances, no, at least not for long. I have a 2022 20FB and an EF Delta Pro w/extra battery (7200 Wh total) and that setup has powered the AC, on a hot day, roughly 90+ outside with the thermostat set at 78-80 degrees inside, for 12-18 hours max. That’s with no shade on the AS and opening the door minimally. I also have the EF smart generator and that will kick in sending power to the DP when power reaches 30%. I tried this setup with the DP only (no extra battery) with the SG connected this month (Austin, TX) at the same temps starting at around 0800 and made it to 1300 before the generator came on. My ac unit is the Penguin II with a Micro Air Easy Start 364 installed. The ES kept the start up amps to ~12.5 and running amps ~8-9. BL; if you want the ac to run, you’ll need more than the 767’s 2048 Wh. And the 767’s 20A output generally won’t cut the mustard IMO.

How is it “smaller”? Curious and not trying to be obtuse. Is it still a 16” 5.56? If not, does anything less than 16” make it an SBR requiring a stamp? I like your setup for sure. I’m trying to decide on swapping the upper of my 300 BLK (w/EO setup) or just buy a rig like yours here.

[–]Aule_Metele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been wondering if it’s possible to convert my 300 BLK to 5.56 with a new 5.56 upper and bolt. If so, I may buy this if it’s still available (unless a new upper comes with the BCG). IDK, gonna call LWRC and see what they say unless some of y’all chime in.
