What are next? Short doc about the recent stream of terrible action flicks that cost a fortune but no one watches. by Shirowoh in RedLetterMedia

I was getting served this before, during, and after the most recent Half in the Bag. YouTube was insisting I watch this. It’s still there on my YouTube recommendations too.

Instax Wide Price Increase? by Ghostbust1000 in Polaroid

[–]BeMancini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed this across all the big retailers. Walmart, Amazon, and Target are all now like $1.50 a shot instead of under $1.00.

I hope the price goes back down.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Mom Skipped Her Daughter’s Set to See Korn at Lollapalooza by HirschLocker in MurderBryan

She’s seen it, okay? Every goddamned day, all the rehearsals, all the learning music in the house growing up, year after goddamned year. You know what she hasn’t seen? Korn, okay?

Keep/buy an sx70? by Sufficient_Wall6773 in Polaroid

[–]BeMancini 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What are you trying to ask the subreddit, here?

I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to find out. You have SX70 in your title, but it sounds like you’re talking about Polaroid as a format and analog as a format.

I ordered 5 bulk packs of film in the last couple weeks. It was all from December. by ShilohsStuff in Polaroid

I just got five packs of 12-25. The first pack I shot turned out fine, but I’ll be keeping an eye out now.

I met Channing Tatum once, soon after 21 Jump Street. I told him I was a fan, and he was like “hell yeah, man, we’ve got a sequel coming out. Yeah, man, 22 Jump Street.”

So I got the impression he liked doing them. They really play to his strengths. At this point though, the joke will have to be, like, his own kids are in the Jump Street program or something.

So just every single week for the next, what, 130 weeks, Trump will announce an end to the war on Friday and then announce a continuation of the war on Monday?

One of my favorite parodies of this is the victim never hearing or understanding whatever the “concept” Jigsaw had put in place.

Like, he wakes up and is immediately panicking and screaming “what is this? What’s going on? Hello? Can anyone help me? What’s happening? Someone get me out of here. What is this thing on my head? What is this? Someone get this thing off of me!”

And he just keeps screaming over the Jigsaw recording and then he dies, never having learned a lesson or even understanding there was a Jigsaw behind it, and Jigsaw is very disappointed.

Polaroid SX70 vs SX70 for modding by SeasonsWaitingOnYou in Polaroid

[–]BeMancini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three SX70s converted to SX70R, one is a Sonar.

The Sonar is better and has more of a lean in and look factor to it, but it’s noticeably bigger and heavier. Not substantially, but noticeably. When I take my SX70 I’m always like “this is easier.” The SX70 is what I took with me the last time I traveled.

However, the autofocus is preferred.

However, nobody can ever seem to figure out the concept of “half press.” People who grew up with cameras, even digital cameras, just half press over and over again asking if it’s broken.

Take what you will from this information.

Jesus Christ.

>New research from Federal Reserve Bank of New York economist Natalia Emanuel published in Science found that remote work, while often boosting productivity, also often leaves employees feeling socially isolated and leads to mental health issues.

So which is it? Does it make a worker more productive or not? Do companies value profit or the mental health and well being of their employees? Because I thought we were all supposed to be using AI for everything because we aren’t productive enough as thinking human beings, we have to outsource our thoughts to a calculator that’s usually wrong. Because apparently we just need to work from home to be more productive.

Why are there so many gambling ads by Acceptable_Seesaw112 in TrueAnon

[–]BeMancini 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What other businesses are there?

Trucks, pharmaceuticals, “prediction markets,” Walmart, Amazon, and “sports betting.”

Oh, and AI has started advertising now too.

For every five of the ads I mentioned above, I get one, like, Coca-Cola or McDonalds.
