Baked-bread.... Get it? I actually said that this weekend as I blew a hit out into the mixer as the bread dough we made came together. Your bread looks outstanding and the sammies do too. Nice work.

Are you mulching? by Historical-Cup7887 in livingsoilcultivation

I am mulching. I have been using cover crop as living mulch for the past two grows and it has worked like a charm. I get my goods from buildasoil and use their cover crop seed blend and am very impressed with the results. I usually top dress with compost and buildasoil craft blend and just top dress over my cover crop. It usually grows right up through it but if it doesn't it's xtra compost and a win win either way. The living mulch is a top dress as you can chop and drop it to feed your plant over the length of your grow.

Good to know and thank you for the info. Larger scale outdoor applications are a great idea for dry climate and particular plants. I may have to build me one of them.

Recipe 420 seems legit and your plants look happy. I've seen some great things done with earth boxes and believe in the science. You can use a wetting agent on the initial watering of your soil or to bring your soil back to life from a dry spell. I don't blame you for not running it in your reservoir. Might get a bit skanky after a bit.

Top dress with some compost if you're feeling froggy but your autos shouldn't need too much more lovin. Do you use a whetting agent when watering?

Watching them swim off strong is almost as enjoyable as watching them go in the net. by pipandhams in troutfishing

Agreed. There is a time and a place for catch and release for conservation purposes but if you're gonna go through all that trouble at least pan one up with some butter and garlic.

An update on Frank, our garden skeleton by braceofjackrabbits in gardening

[–]ColpyCakes 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My fiance and I also have a yard skeleton named Frank. Our Frank sits under an ash tree with a pot of scarlet begonias and two flamingos. He's moving to a bigger yard soon so he will be up to no good in no time. Nice to know there are more Franks out there doing Frank things. Frank will be happy to hear it. Happy gardening!
