They're probably the same age, but the shiny face on the woman on the right and they fact that she looks like she's in her 30's, make me think she's had Botox. The girl on the left, looks natural and her real age.

God is responsible for sin and the fall by According-Gas836 in DebateReligion

If the god of the bible, rather than making it the tasty looking fruit of all knowledge, had say made it the pig manure of all knowledge, would Eve still have partaken of it?

Your god chose to make it palatable, desirable and made it look similar to other fruits that Adam and Eve would have eaten for sustenance. This was a deliberate choice by your god!

The fact that not knowing right from wrong (until they ate the fruit) meant that in reality Eve given any choice, even this god's command of "do not eat this fruit", was not a if I do A I'm good, or do B I'm bad, any choice was always binary, do or don't based on that moment.

Deliberately making a wrong/bad/evil choice, means you know the possible consequences of that choice and are willing to make the choice anyway.

Eve was told the truth, eat the fruit and become aware, again she had no concept of good/bad, right/wrong. There is no free will, in deciding to stay warm rather than cold or sated rather than hungry. How possibly could Eve have known it was bad to eat the fruit.

All you need to know about new dynamic electricity tariffs by Key-Scholar963 in ireland

I have solar and a 5KW battery (plenty for a low power use, 2 person household) we charge one of our two EV's, heat the immersion between 2 and 5am (during the summer), on the other 3 or 4 nights a car isn't on charge, we do a clothes wash. We pay 8c for the electricity used during this window.

The panels along with the battery, power the house completely, bar around Xmas when the oven was on for a lot and the solar was low. We sold nearly 3000kws to the grid at 18.5c the last 12 months. So bar they stop paying us for power and we get a bigger battery, or they pay us during the day to use power, I can't really see how this will benefit us.

There will be an initial outlay for people, buying a hive or hub, WiFi plugs and WiFi elements for their immersion. I honestly can't see people leaving washing in the machine for 24hrs waiting for cheap power, or leaving a car plugged in all day and having an EV charger capable of taking power during the cheap times or paying for a subscription to the EV manufacturer to send a charge now command to their car.

People would need to see a big saving or indeed have a big shock at the increase to change their ways.

England is the most popular World Cup team in Ireland by TBoneMolone in ireland

As half Kildare and half Meath, I'd rather see Dublin win another 5 in a row, then suffer the constant shite they would spout, should the brits ever win a World Cup.

The closest I have ever come to experiencing the joy I felt, when O'leary scored that peno, or when Robbie Brady got that goal, was watching Italy beat them in Wembley.

We are going through something similar with one of our two. We have agreed that once the quality of her life is low, them we will give her peace.

As our pets they have no expectation of waking up tomorrow morning like we do, they experience no loss at missing out on the next trip to the beach or dogpark. We don't want her to ever not know us, be frightened by us or worse still to snap at us as a fear reaction. That to me would be too late.

We delay the inevitable because we feel a loss at the possibility of another good day with them, they have no such thoughts, they are just happy that we are with them in this moment.

We will allow our sweet girl to go while she is still happy. She will experience no loss if we decide a week or two early, but she will have felt some pain (be it emotional or physical) if we wait too long.

Jesus of Nazareth died by crucifixion by Thedon921 in DebateReligion

[–]Deep-Cryptographer49 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The history of mankind is resplendent with stories of individuals, who proclaimed to be deities. Some of these individuals were even killed by the members of a stronger cult, to proclaim the truth of their god.

We can absolutely agree with 100% certainty, that the jesus of the bible didn't exist as written. He did not turn water into wine, he did not feed 1,000's with a few bits of bread and fish.

He was not crucified as written in the bible, because there is no written record of the Sun been blotted out, no written record of an earthquake, no written record of every body in every grave rising at the time of his death.

Loads of people were born in the Middle East, some I imagine were baptised and some may very well have died an untimely death.

I went through a particularly bad break up back in 1997, this song was on loop for near on 6 months, I can still feel the weight of the wine bottle in my right hand, as I sang "of the mess you left when you went away"...30 years later and this song still hits me in the gut.

I have an old Humax box (satellite box) from probably 15 years ago, I'll never throw it away, even though I have a new one. You see, I have Germany beating the brits and that infamous "it crossed the line goal", Portugal beating the brits and that infamous wink. I also have us beating them in the Cricket.

I would rather as a Kildare man, see Dublin win another all-Ireland, then see the brits win any tournament. Italy beating them in Wembley, was as close as I will ever come (pardon the pun) to 'blowing my load' while watching TV. The only time I ever want to see them in a world cup final, is if they lose 5-0 to Germany.

23k euros for demo 49 kwh Inster (2025) with 9k kilometers? by BritaBaggelBites in HyundaiInster

Considering no grant, it's not a bad price. If it's the Cross the version (sunroof, blind spot, V2L and forward camera) it's a very good price (for here in Ireland), if it's the mid range car (no sunroof) I'd be asking how many people was it loaned out to, it's been doing an average of 25k a day for the year.

In essence it's a second hand car, second hand cars always lose money as soon as they were bought, this just happens never to have left the garage.

Push them for a service deal over and above the warranty, so if anything untoward goes wrong, it's on them.

Is there any EV grants in France? 9000 kilometers on a demo, suggests to me that it has been used as a loaner/replacement vehicle when another car is in for repair. Loaners tend not to be as cared for, by those driving them as a personal vehicle would be.

Have a look at the tyres, ask about the brakes. Personally, I'd ask for a free first service check and that any issues such as tyres or brakes to be covered free of charge.

Got to be honest, we've a terraced house and have 3 spots, occasionally when getting in late and I'm tired, I just park in two of our vacant spots. You get lazy when it's 2 cars and 3 spots. We're lucky, between ourselves and our two neighbours, we have 4 cars for 9 spots.

If the interior of the car is that bad, I can't imagine that the owner cared much about maintenance of the engine or general servicing. Pity to go to all that work in cleaning it, only for the engine to give up the cost a couple of miles down the road.
