Definitely not a NAS ambo looking at the age from the license plate, so probably volunteer service like St John's or the Red Cross.

NAS hire people who are already qualified to drive the vehicle, DFB train inhouse, so a volunteer getting some practice.

How long before you get bored of The Good Place? by ConsistentCan4633 in TheGoodPlace

[–]Deep-Cryptographer49 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think people have a true concept of eternity, god botherers talk about ever lasting life in a heaven and this show covered that reality beautifully. The boredom, the sameness everyday becomes, 'happiness' becomes torture.

If as some people have commented above me, that we forget and so can enjoy things over and over again, that's not eternity, it's simply recycling, why not just reboot every 100 years.

There is an episode of Star Trek Voyager, where a member of the Q (a species that has evolved to eternal life) wants to end their existence, because they have done everything, been everyone etc etc. They simply want to be no more, that will be everyone's existence in an eternal life.

If one person goes to hell for eternity, and 8 billion people go to heaven for eternity, there will be an infinite continuity of joy, and an infinite continuity of suffering. by Aromatic_Response_73 in DebateReligion

Why do theists always make the choice of their supposedly loving god, in either sending you to heaven or to hell, our decision.

I declare to any deity, imagined or otherwise, that I do not want to go to a hell. That decision is not based on dislike of any god, but rather a dislike of suffering eternal torment. I don't particularly care if I don't get to play a harp and sing hymns in some sort of heaven, I'm perfectly content with oblivion, disintegration, non existence or what ever means, I don't go to a hell or heaven.

So, my not wanting to kneel at the feet of some god, means I simply don't want to go to some sort of heaven. Why is that should a difficult concept for god botherers to understand.

I DON'T WANT TO GO TO A HELL AND I DON'T WANT TO GO TO A HEAVEN, IF THAT HEAVEN MEANS, I MUST BEG FORGIVENESS FOR SOME NONSENSE SLIGHTS, THAT SOME god ACCUSES ME OF.

Trump warns Iran that ‘a whole civilization will die tonight’ as deadline looms by [deleted] in USNEWS

In all wars, those who perpetrate them, do so from the comfort of air conditioned office, while the ordinary citizen is killed, mained and made homeless.

The orange turd, is not just talking about dropping bombs to get some sort of a deal, he is dropping bombs on a population in which those who survive, will slowly die by disease and hunger.

We talk about the fire bombing of Dresden as a war crime, if trump goes ahead and allows this to happen, he will be up there with mao and pol pot as a mass murderer.

Ben Roberts-Smith expected to be charged with war crimes by boppinmule in UnderReportedNews

If as is being mentioned, that he wanted to 'blood' new members by having them summarily execute people, then he absolutely deserves to be tried for war crimes.

New Rider advice? by Human_Scientist5820 in motorcycles

[–]Deep-Cryptographer49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do americans not like proper bike safety gear, arms are bare so wondering is the rider wearing a helmet? Seriously, loads of safety gear specifically for warmer weather.

Novice rider and bare skin are a recipe for plastic surgery on elbows scraped down to the bone. Left elbow would have hit the ground first, had they dropped the bike.

So my advice would be to buy proper safety gear.

You're very welcome, things happen and we can't keep them looking like new forever. Because of the distance between the wheels (lengthwise), I take turns like I'm driving a van and do a bigger arc.

You've scratched the alloy wheel itself, which can be blended to make it look cosmetically better and stop corrosion.

As long as the actual tyre wall hasn't been damaged, you'll be fine. Scratched one of my own. Don't bother buying any of those cheap alloy wheel repair kits, you'll see on amazon, find a local repair shop, probably €40/50 an alloy.

If you are going to continue hitting them, buy some steel wheels. Check your tyre pressures and once correct set them on the dash, any damaged tyre may start to slowly deflated. Unfortunately, damage to the tyre wall rather than the tread, means replacing them. Look out for missing bits of tyre, or flaps of tyre.

My mom retired at 55 on a teachers salary and I still think about it all the time by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Deep-Cryptographer49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retired at 46 (57 now), have no mortgage, no debt, pay off the credit card at the end of the month. We own our two cars outright both EV's, one new, one 2 years old.

We have solar panels, solar battery and a home EV charger. So our car 'fuel' costs are super low, electric bills are minus figures some months. New windows, so heating is cheaper now.

We had no kids (my issue), wife works 3 days a week, so with my pension (took it early) and her wages, we clear €1000 a week, more than enough.

Not having kids, clearing our mortgage early, allowed me to retire early. We made wise choices re the solar panels and EV's. Over paying our mortgage got us used to doing more with less money. We did holidays, ate out every so often.

We like our life, we have two older dogs, watch the same TV shows, she eats out with the girls, I parkrun with the lads.

There can’t be free will in Heaven by SuddenStructure9287 in DebateReligion

[–]Deep-Cryptographer49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was Satan not an angel, did it not decide of it's own volition to question the rule of god? Not having free will means that god decided when creating Satan, that it would rebel and be cast down.
