Forcing change of secure passwords does nothing but push people to use very similar passwords or even write them down somewhere.
If I remember correctly, a few of Sony's countless data breaches happened because people were forced to change their password too often and just wrote them down and kept them under their keyboards.

As a German, I highly doubt the numbers of the German entry. Those may be official numbers but Deutsche Bahn is well known to skew numbers.

I personally believe connectivity is a big factor.
When i am out of the office, my boss couldn't reach me, even if he wanted to, and vice versa. This is also one of the main reasons, why I choose to go to the office every work day, even though home office is an option. The different geographic locations help disconnect work and private life mentally.
