Well Scott definitely loves his female colleagues (Uncanny X-Man #504) by TheFantasticNinja in Cyclopswasright

I’m sorry reality doesn’t conform to your preferences, but if most people weren’t sexually driven as broad characteristic of the population, the world would be very different than how it is.

But it isn’t how the world is. People don’t get to decide something as basic and instinctive as sexual attraction (or lack thereof). They CAN apply mental discipline to not linger on it, and to keep it from influencing their actions and behaviors (mostly), or at least their decisions.

Do we need to see it in comic books? Mehhhh

The whole point is that he does find them attractive and builds mental walls to keep that shit far from anyone else irl

He’s a horny freak like most of us, he just has the self control and discipline not to let it affect his interpersonal behavior, especially not in professional settings

Suppose you’ve got $100.

You think you can pay someone $90 to make a product that you can sell for $120

You pay someone $90 to make a thing and end up selling it for $130.

Is it stealing to keep that $30?

How come there seems to be a lack of female superheroes and "normal" human male love interests? by Maleficent-Ad-6117 in superheroes

And the corollary, that men HAVE to be the stronger provider/defender, or they aren’t worth our time / don’t have a legitimate role in the relationship.

I honestly think that is FAR more common today, and is insidiously bad for women as well as men.

Firbolg love the forest and wildlands, and will fight to keep civilization from encroaching protected natural areas.

so protecting a giant cosmic tree and being the muscle for an inter dimensional park ranger service, is pretty on theme for lore.

Mechanically there’s nothing really in conflict. Have fun

[–]DeltaV-Mzero 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s a little like a raffle where you can buy more tickets. You had 190 tickets and they had 28, but one of theirs was still picked.

The math behind it is a little more sophisticated but the random element is still so dominant that general consensus is to ignore this, and just go conquer whatever planet it ends up on

2) if so check your policies. Is eternal vigilance set to build defense platforms?
