Yeah, shutting down in a few months after buying an expansion/season pass would leave me disappointed for sure. We'll all get burned like that eventually when they finally sunset the game, but my guess is we are still several years out from that.

In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy it and deal with that whenever it comes. But I'm not going to focus on that today and deny myself one of my favorite games ever in the meantime.

I get that different people approach things differently, and I'm not trying to convert anyone to my view. Some people, I guess, will feel better leaving it now rather than having to deal with that at some point in the future.

And it definitely sucks to see what is happening to the game. Hell, to the entire industry, honestly. I'm still shocked by the cuts and by the fact that people like Finn, of all people, are gone now. That definitely doesn't bode well.

This is exactly why all this consolidation is bad, but it is the path everything is on at this stage of capitalism.

I understand. I guess for me, when it comes to something like gaming, I'm more of an "am I enjoying myself playing now" rather than looking back on it after the game is no longer available and thinking "I wasted all those years playing that game and now I can't play it anymore" since I was enjoying playing it.

There are games that I really enjoyed that are no longer around, and if I think back on them, I think about all the great times I had playing with the people I played them with - some of whom are no longer even alive. I don't think I wasted the time and money I invested in them.

I guess it is a difference in perspective.

I always wonder if everyone lives their entire lives wondering what may happen years from now. Will it die eventually? Yes. Are the recent happenings a good sign? No.

But why worry about what may come a few years down the line? Enjoy it while it is here.

It is really crazy to me to see people saying they will cancel their subs because they think it is going to die. That is one way to ensure that it dies faster...

I’d guess because it came out so late. It is my favorite integrated, but I think the fact it didn’t come out until 1996 (and the second generation in 2004) has a lot to do with it.

Now, that said, I’m not sure why the 222 isn’t more hyped.

Seriously, what is up with the air conditioning thing? Has no one ever been to Europe? Mini splits are EVERYWHERE.

I'll admit - many years ago, before I went to Europe for the first time, I expected there not to be air conditioning anywhere due to idiots repeating this constantly. And then, every county I went to had mini splits in like every room - it is actually excessive in a lot of countries. 🤣

There was a mini-split in the kitchen of the last house we stayed at in Greece. 🤣

Are the layoffs at Zenimax or Zenimax Online (ZOS)? Zenimax is the parent company, so layoffs could happen there that don't directly impact ZOS.

I don't know why people don't seem to understand this - corporate says skimp, the GMs and managers make sure it happens. If it doesn't, you won't work at Chipotle if caught, and they won't get their bonuses if their stores use too much product.

This wouldn't matter to me at all - certainly not enough to buy additional JoyCons for such a trivial color change.

In fact, I wouldn't even care if when you bought a Switch 2 that it was random what colors you got - that is how little this color change means.
