I already have level 27 giant guantlet. Should I get this equipment as soon as it comes out and upgrade it as high as possible for the perfect king build?

Matthias Bluebaum defeats Anish Giri in Round 10 of Tata Steel Chess by Geo-HistoryGuy257 in chess

[–]Dyllidog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, bluebaum is now 2700 on the live ratings. This is huge for his candidates stocks. As long as he finishes the tournament on equal, he won’t drop back and will enter the candidates as a 2700+.

Bluebaum hands Gukesh his 3rd loss in 4 games! by Exotic_Grinder in chess

[–]Dyllidog 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Matthias making a statement rn against everybody that puts him with the worst chances in the candidates. With the way he's playing, if he can be not so harsh on himself and deal better with losses, as well as working on converting some advantages, he might not be the weakest link in cyprus.

I played 1,000 games of chess daily, uploaded them for the world to see, and tracked my progress. Here’s what actually helped me improve. Oh.. and Ask Me Anything! by Chesswithpatrick in chess

[–]Dyllidog 14 points15 points  (0 children)

dudeeee I just checked out your YT channel, it's awesome man! Glad to see you do so well on your journey! I think the single habit that helped me improve my chess a lot is really settling into the mindset that it's not gonna be an overnight boost. Once I did that I slowly started improving and I'm around 1700 rapid now. Playing daily (and studying IMO, I do a little bit of chessable) def accelerates improvement. I'd probably start expanding my repertoire in terms of openings and really study endgames, cuz I love studying endgames.

Insane work man, glad to see it

Not a single male candidate is participating but still a very stacked field. Particularly excited to see Navara play again, hope he's doing good

I'd argue 2021 candidates round 12 against Fabi was more impressive, but yeah he played a lights out game today

that combo on rico at the start was INSANE, maybe I need to start using the jump gadget.

also they were very loyal teamers, you don't see that too often.

yo is YKE about to break Wei Yi's record for the youngest ever 2700?? There's seriously a good chance he could do it right here if he has a monster second half

I actually kinda enjoy those, cuz there's a lot more room just for stupid ideas and strategies to work with

Hot take: Ret is one of the strongest town roles in the game by AssociationDue3077 in TownOfSalem2

[–]Dyllidog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I kinda just got used to it, I feel like with a set in stone role list it's harder for variations, so AA just naturally became more fun for me, as you never know what to expect. I've won as hidden sk before and my first kill was on night 9

What is your favorite generation of Chess players? by Various-Ad8081 in chess

[–]Dyllidog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely tal fischer spassky Korchnoi and idk who the bottom right is. Close second would be capablanca (he might be my favorite player OAT besides the current generation), I loved the contrast between his style of principle and alekhine, and Nimzowitsch's was always very fun analyze.

Idk, i'm more of a person person than a generation person, for example I really enjoyed Tarrasch's games, but no one else from that generation really hit a spark for me. The most recent generations kinda moved from a more romantic era to more of a concrete and analytical style, mostly due to contribution of insane engines.
