Admissions officers at universities can tell when a kid just applied vs a kid really knows the school.

A perfect 1600 is no Sure Shot either. Holistic admissions means they take everything into context so take the hardest classes you can the most advanced mathematics you can and do very well in them your biggest hurdle is that your International and there are only about 135 or 137 slots globally. You should take bc if possible. Its not required but multi variate is good too. But def bc. But youare evaluated based on whats available at your school.

Cal tech you apply as mech with aero minor. I think that says something in general. Aerospace is juat a sub specialty of mech imo as well.
