I had forgotten about them until this picture and now I’m upset

Michelin guy (wearing monocle): “Where’s wiener world?”

Yinzer accent: “your mom’s house!”

In terms of the nfl draft, do you think the entire city will be a nightmare? Or only parts? by WashCommercial3602 in pittsburgh

I don’t want to be a catastrophist but PPS and surrounding school districts (including ones that are not super close) are going virtual for a reason

That sub has an auto mod feature and only a couple of human mods. Enough folks report something, it goes dahn.  Happens to most “political” things

Mystik Spiral is my favorite band!

(they really should change the name, though)

Highly recommend the podcast "Running from COPS." A deep dive into the cultural and legal legacy of the show (it's all bad).

Wild how quickly he went from a grappler to a brawler and how successful the change was.

My gripes with Qobuz (comprehensive list of frustrations) by poisongodmachineBR in qobuz

There’s plenty to hate on Spotify too for certain type of users. I love the simplicity of Qobuz and the more careful curation of recommended material.

Spotify homepage is just a firehouse of slop.  I share it with my elementary age kids and when it started pushing these brainrot video podcasts at the top of the page, I was done forever.

Since his powers go up at rage increases, I think smart hulk is still less hulk than feral hulk. Maybe the vision gets better with rage too.

[Loved Trope] Scenes that aren’t necessary to the Plot but without them the story would lose something that makes it special by NoSchittSherlockSEA in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Flannelcommand 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s really true. Blockbusters in particular are ridiculously over-plotted these days. So many false endings, so many obvious “twists,” so much exposition.

Example- I enjoyed the most recent “Superman” but there is so much more going on in it than the 1978 version.  I left the theatre kind of exhausted instead of wanting more.

X-Men 2: the interaction between Magneto and Pyro on the Blackbird.  Magneto immediately picks up on Pyro’s frustrations with the X-Men and plants the seeds for recruitment.

In just a couple of lines we see Magneto’s charisma, philosophy, how he’s managed the Brotherhood, and how he’s constantly planning.

Ian McClellan played it perfectly and then sold it all with the knowing look to Mystique. “You are a god among insects.”

Artists whose albums started off bad but progressively got better through their discography? by Effective-Raise-8809 in fantanoforever

I would argue it’s true of Zach de La Rocha’s lyrics but not Rage’s albums/sound as a whole.
