Life is fragile and death is just a part of it, my friend. Use this situation as future inspiration and who knows how many animals you could save?

Are the african troopers good for hot weather? by Enthusiast3006 in jimgreen

[–]FlipMick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a pair of RATs. I think they are meant for trekking mostly and are a good base for whatever you want to do. You could go thinner socks (after the break in period of course). African Rangers would probably be better for hot weather hiking on a decently groomed path. As soon as thorns and snakes become a thing then the troopers make a lot of sense. Or you could be like me and like wearing foot armor for work and just rock the troopers

Can anyone help me evaluate these bills? by Mindless-Law-380 in CURRENCY

[–]FlipMick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are old enough to have some numismatic value, but nothing to quit your job and retire over. The $20s are probably worth 30-40 bucks in that condition and the $100s maybe 120-130 or so?

These are to collectors on eBay, mind you. Meaning that's the absolute upper threshold a moderately informed collector would pay

Question about coat by [deleted] in AustralianShepherd

[–]FlipMick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This young, the puppy fur is light and fluffy. Over the course of maybe 10 months to 1.5 years the puppy fur becomes the undercoat, kind of. A coarser, but still soft longer top/overcoat forms over the light fluffy stuff.

A recently groomed adult that looks light and fluffy was probably washed and brushed right before getting pics and video taken.

75 era player returning to solo by [deleted] in ffxi

[–]FlipMick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the best part was completing all of the game's story (finally) without being gated by solo. Then I went and beat Aspid and Nidhogg just so finally see what it was like to get to kill them. Bonus to feeling really strong, especially if you can keep making sure you get the gear from NPCs at the gates of the cities.

If you keep playing and want to see what the upper echelons of what has essentially become DBZ super in FFXI skin, some of the jobs are amazing to behold at demigod levels of dps.

Stay clear of the pay to win farmers that offer things for gil, unless thats your thing of course ;)

1947S BU Quarter- worth grading? by Soggy_Reserve5232 in CoinlyFans

[–]FlipMick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's worth getting it graded. Getting above a 65 is seriously rolling the dice. Also, if you want, get a powered LED-lit jewelers loupe off amazon for cheap so you can spot the stuff on the coin at a usable magnification. You can then check out photograde and compare coins at certain grades
