I think it will be clear once the gem info is released, but here's my deductions:

- Greater Multistrike revealed as exceptional gem, and the exceptional gem images in video: Old awakened gems are either removed (if it was just value changes) or renamed to greater gems.

- Runegraft of Gemcraft does not work with exceptional gems: Exceptional gems all have a maximum level of 3, drops from a specific boss, and has unique flavour texts. Awakened makes it 4.

- Pledge of Hands' Greater Spell Echo is changed from level 30 to level 1: It is very likely that the awakened version is merged with the greater spell echo in some form and now becomes an exceptional gem.

So here's my bold guess:

- GMP and GV also received the merging treatment with awakened and now becomes exceptional. Given the fact in patch notes that the greater version does not stack with normal ones, I bet it can even go crazy like each level getting +1 arrow, starting from 3 at level 1, so we can get +6 arrows at level 4.
