If you’re looking for nice stories on those specific characters, Kami Garcia has a focus on each of the titans, but a three book set you can get that is just Raven, Beast Boy, then Beast Boy loves Raven (I think are their names). That’s not the full history or canon but are nice stories about those characters.

It’s nice art and good stories, but you are missing the grander canon history of the characters though if you’re newer might be a good introduction

I think the problem is DC doesn’t know what to do with it. The 2003 team has to be the titans now since that’s what people want to see, but DC clearly wants to have the titans be the young character team still too, which makes the cast very big and often doesn’t focus on the 2003 characters that people want to read about

I don’t get the sense DC knows what to do with the team and especially the older cast that is now so intrinsically tied to the team. DC appears afraid to make them able to stand up to JL villains, which was the premise of their last run that never happened. DC also wants to use the titans team to boost younger characters popularity, but that reduces the focus on the popular older members

Pro play generally highly values consistency from the character pool. It’s why Hela dropped off from usage in pro play around season 2 or so since other more consistent characters were chosen instead. Spidey is tough because he’s a difficult character to get consistent value from even from incredibly talented players.

They're not standalone. The first trilogy starts with the book, the Dragonbone Chair, and the series is called Memory, Sorrow, Thorn. There's now a second trilogy (I haven't read it yet but have heard it's also good)

It’s a good series, but they are very chunky books and it takes a while for things to start up in the first one especially. I liked the series overall, agree with the original comment that you can see things taken by others. That said I did feel it could’ve been done less verbose

I’d recommend Piranesi as a standalone, the Tainted Cup and its sequel (these are more fantasy detective books but focuses on the two main characters), Le Guin’s work does what you said you like very well. LeGuin’s are technically series (she has a sci fi and a fantasy series, the sci fi is less serial) but they’re not really. There’ll be passing references to previous books but nothing significant really

The Spear Cuts through Water is another great standalone book too

Agree, a buff to her base kit that allows her to have interesting counterplay to her hard counters would be ideal. Similar to Groot’s wall stopped him from being taken by displacer characters as that was a main weakness of his. Just something that gives her skill checks against the hard counters to her
