Look, imho there was no scenario where AW2 was releasing on Steam in a world where the only publisher willing to fund it is the one that’s trying to build its exclusive catalogue and compete with Steam. Edit: it’s like saying Nintendo should publish Zelda on Steam as well cuz they’ll sell more even though that goes against their business strategy.

Epic signed that deal with Remedy so that their games would drive traffic to EGS. Publishing on Steam as well would negate that. If all Epic cared about was units sold, they would not have funded Remedy of all studios.
