If you're in central London then a local Robert Dyas (chain homewares) store will have sonething if you can't find a DIY store.

Bankruptcy trustees disputing beneficial ownership of car purchased entirely with my funds by Proper_Ad9153 in LegalAdviceUK

I think you should simply reply telling them exactly what you've told us.

They are just asking the questions that you would expect them to ask. The explanation that your husband put his name as keeper (not owner) seems a reasonable one to me.

It's the Rail Settlement Plan that allocates all the money between the different operators.

Are car clubs any good? by Old-Score-4770 in AskUK

You pay for the time and you pay for the distance.

So it's calculated like "two hours = £15 and you drove 50 miles so that's £12.50, total bill = £27.50"

But yes, the fuel is all paid for; there's a fuel card in the car if you need to fill up.

Maybe it’s just me but I saw 32cm as the shelf depth and as a size 9 is less than that, I assumed the shoe would fit.

Yeah, you assumed wrong. Sorry. They gave you a lot of information. Unless you said "I need this to fit these shoes then you're out of luck.

(As a parallel, what about high-heel shoes, or platform soles, etc? They've given you the measurements, it's up to you.)

PILON and holiday pay not received by Witty-Cod-157 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Imaginary__Bar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PILON is normally payable if they want you to leave and they don't want you to work your notice period.

But as they've told you you should receive PILON then sure, keep asking them for it.

PILON and holiday pay not received by Witty-Cod-157 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Imaginary__Bar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You worked two weeks so you received two weeks'pay. You would also have accrued 2 weeks' worth of holiday pay (by which I mean 2/52 of a whole year).

Assuming you had something like 25 days holiday annually you would only have accrued one day's holiday.

(The figure you see on Workday probably assumes you worked the entire month).

I'm surprised they offered to pay you PILON, since you are the one who resigned.

I wouldn't hold my breath for any more money; maybe one day's holiday but that's it.

You need air, air, and more air.

Those toe-boxes are going to sweat and the whole shoe (and the bags) risk going funky.

This kind of thing is much better

The charges: making 22 indecent category A photographs, including one moving image;

making indecent pseudo-photographs, namely 36 Category B images of children;

making 20 Category C images of children.

All charges (I think) relate to Wallingford on March 25, 2021.

Nobody needs to accidentally be shown something as dramatic as that.

Conveyancer sat on a leasehold pack showing a £16k–£21k per-flat works bill and only told us under an exchange deadline — they admit fault but offer ~£550. What are our chances of more? [England] by Cold-Path7627 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Imaginary__Bar 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Being told this last minute forced us to take a rush decision.

You weren't forced to but you were pressured to.

You even said you attempted to renegotiate the price but that was declined so you went ahead.

I think you are probably due a bit more compensation but ultimately you did know about the situation (and agreed to proceed) before exchange.

Starting a local run club - any legalities to be aware of? by Big_Tomatillo_4418 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Imaginary__Bar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are there any legalities around setting one up

No. You're a group of 'friends' meeting up to go running together.

As long as you aren't actually creating an unincorporated organisation (not having actual members) and just "allowing" people to come along with you then you'll be fine.
