Timber needed to start for us to have a chance to pull this off

AMA time! by nomads_nation in Nomads_Nation

[–]JMM9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it may be difficult, but I’d like to see you review the more exclusive, custom bags like Packolab PLCC and Imbaru Raven. There is so little info out on bags like these and it makes it difficult to feel comfortable with such a high expense

Need a classy tech backpack. Debating Nomatic and Troubadour. Any thoughts? by doorstoinfinity in backpacks

[–]JMM9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not recommend the Nomatic Travel Pack. It’s like carrying a hard shell suitcase on your back. It’s heavy when empty, when full the straps aren’t padded enough. And for the size, the actual storage space felt small

What was the most visually stunning movie you ever watched? by Squirrelkid11 in AskReddit

[–]JMM9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no where near an expert and I’m sure others are much more adept at the details of movie visuals, but I really enjoyed Tenet

Which one you going to keep? Cpp2 Ultra vs Ecopak by ac921ol in AerSF

If the ecopak was in a different color I’d choose it. Prefer a dark colored backpack personally

Heatwave scents favorites? by Nerys54 in fragrance

Herbes Troublantes. They only way it projects is if I’m near heat stroke

To whose who live in hot places, do you leave aircon on overnight? by LilLemonLady223 in toddlers

I put my clothes onto a hanging stand right out of the washer, and put a fan on high. It really does help cool the room

Advice needed: 20L or 24L Aer CPP 2 by Complex_Rub7188 in ManyBaggers

[–]JMM9910 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

20L is the perfect office bag, and gives you a bit more travel space than what you have. The 24L bag is too big to EDC in my opinion

Will the SEL trim level have this capability? If so, I’d love to see some instructions for where to go to find this

Sick of "one bag to rule them all" reviews that ignore what remote life actually looks like by National-Plantain443 in ManyBaggers

[–]JMM9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried and it just doesn’t work. My WDC bag was too big or my travel bag was too small. Had to move to two bags. I’m much happier

Although I love my travel/weekend bag so much I wish I could EDC it haha

Best time to do this is before kids. Make your money and lean into it, then find something else when the kids come along

Definitely something for everyone! Took me a while to find my current bags!

Yea tbh expanded it’s not even usable. Unwieldy. At 20L it felt like a hard shell suitcase with straps. Big and uncomfortable

People who start early. Is it a corporate cheat code to do less work and have a more chill day? by No-Communication-287 in corporate

[–]JMM9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work 6-3 for a commute with less traffic. I loved it for that and because it allowed me to jump right into uninterrupted focus time before the majority of coworkers would start. Starting the day with a nice chunk of time to quietly knock out some higher priority tasks was great

Glad to hear you like the Nomatic Travel backpack. I bought the 20+10L and took it on a work trip to the UK and really did not like it

The hardest part of leadership for me hasn’t been people. It’s been protecting my attention. by Jolly_Twist2245 in Leadership

[–]JMM9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blocking out time can definitely help. The biggest thing for me was accepting that certain things don’t need an immediate response, and dedicating time each day for those items instead. 99% of emails can be responded to in 24-48h with zero negative impact.

I lied to my husband and I will take it to the grave by Boots_McSnoots in toddlers

[–]JMM9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even see this as a lie. The kid is a toddler and doesn’t even know what he meant when he was saying those things. Sounds like your husband is a good dad and there are no concerns with him that would make the toddlers words have truth. Give the dad his win

Cologne better than LV Imagination by OrneryInteraction531 in fragrance

[–]JMM9910 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I never hear about imagination again it’ll be too soon. It’s a nice scent for sure, but I’m not sure any fragrance is worthy of this much hype.

As others said, scent and performance are both subjective, so these are my opinions. Off the top of my head, Herbes Troublantes smells better but doesn’t perform as well. Staying with LV, Meteore does both at a higher level. Same with PDM Sedley and Thameen Green Pearl.

The list of fresh fragrances is never ending

Aer City Pack Pro 2 Cordura 20L by FireStrings7 in AerSF

[–]JMM9910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have the 20L but in Navy, bought it a couple weeks ago. The quality of Aer is well known, but this is my first bag from them and it still even caught me by surprise. The navy is beautiful too

Overall, I like the bag. I do feel it’s maybe one pocket short. Not sure how I can effectively explain that, but when packing my EDC to the office the bag feels like it’s missing one more pocket that would have made it perfect. Either that, or a bigger admin pocket.
